National Comparisons

I spent several years in Russia, Britain, and the US; based on my experiences there, this series comparing life in the 3 countries may be of interest to some readers.

Corrections are welcome. Though most of what I say is grounded in personal observations, a lot also comes from second hand (or third hand) sources, or from Internet research, and as such may be of uncertain veracity.

Also, free to pose further questions in the comments sections of the individual articles; if they are interesting, I will incorporate them into the text.

I hope to keep expanding on this text in the years to come, and adding other countries into the mix.

Special thanks to Axel Boldt, a German academic living in the US whose detailed comparison of the two countries inspired this project.
