I want to move my family [details redacted] to an Eastern European country to escape the poz. We will start learning the language. Do you think Russia is the best option or is there a better one?
Real life example of a trend I reported on a few months ago.
I’ll offer some of my own thoughts, but since there are plenty of East Europeans here, I am also opening it up for wider discussion.
General Considerations
First, I assume this is obvious and that you have considered it, but I would strongly advise anybody considering such a major life change to thoroughly explore all of the countries they are considering before committing. Better spend a few thousand dollars on that now instead of investing tens of thousands of dollars and years of your life on a project that you may potentially come to regret. For instance, if I were a prospective Western expat, even though Romania wouldn’t have been anywhere near my first choice, my visit there confirmed my feeling that it’s only good for shortish tourism.
Second, while Eastern Europe is indeed more “based” than the West, it is not some kind of 1950s America Shangri-La. I would strongly recommend you read this classic neoreactionary essay by Arpad Virag: Eastern Europe and the Swine Right. One of the main points it makes is that Eastern Europe is “already far more ruled by progressives than most are willing to admit.” I might not going to make the case in depth here, but I broadly agree. For instance, even in Russia, the young undergraduates at elite universities are very much familiar with intersectionality and the pursuit of social justice. These are marginal cults, for now, but as Arpad points out:
These are all individual, anecdotal evidence, dealing with only one small country – you may take them seriously or not, but don’t forget the good ol’ Moldbuggian wisdom – trends among the tiny elite is what shapes the future, not the bleating of millions of sheep. Tea Party movement is nonexistent today, while the editors of NYT aren’t exactly dealing with plummeting readership.

The nice thing about Romania’s “backwardness” is that there is no degeneracy. Apolitical people talk about race/gay/Jews like normal, non-brainwashed people do. Very refreshing. All of their celebrated intellectuals – Eminescu, Iorga, Eliade, Cioran, Tutea . . . – were reactionary and/or fascist. The youth are also very Americanized – good and bad, the average educated one thinks it is very cool to watch John Oliver.

What I call the “Soviet Freezer” preserved old social attitudes in Eastern Europe for much longer than in the West, but it has since broken down. Now resistance to the Poz basically consists of an inchoate array of populist reactions, with no coherent ideology underlying them. Will this reaction succeed? Or is this tradition’s last gasp before it is swept away? (Akin to conservative dominance in the US during the 2000s, which depressed liberals at the time but which in the end turned out to be a complete phantasmagoria).
I really don’t know, but I’m pretty pessimistic.
I am not trying to discourage anyone. But do know that Eastern Europe isn’t some impenetrable bastion of traditional values. It will be fighting its own culture wars, and it’s far from clear that conservatism will retain the upper hand indefinitely.
Finally, one advantage that the US has, no matter how pozzed it gets, is that it does have uniquely strong traditions of personal liberty and free speech. Washington D.C. or state governments are not going to follow Germany’s recent moves in criminalizing homeschooling anytime soon. You not going to go to jail for criticizing Islam or immigration, as is routine in the UK. You may be fired, of course, or even banned from Uber, but so long as you have “fuck you money,” you’re safe and sound regardless. (At least until the SJWs start rewriting the Constitution… but we’re not at that point yet). This might be less true of countries with weaker traditions of speech, i.e. the rest of the world.
Citizenship
There is a considerable bureaucratic problem specific to Russia. While you’ll need to do the usual typical things to get citizenship – get permanent residency (so that means getting a job in most cases); waiting a number of years without committing crimes (5 years in Russia); learning the language – you will also have to give up your original citizenship on assuming the Russian one. This is something that the vast majority of expats here understandably do not want to commit to.
In fairness, there is a chance that this restriction will be lifted in the coming years:
In addition to the proposed law, there is also a new “concept” for reforming Russian immigration policy by 2025, which mostly centers around simplifying naturalization for certain categories of foreign professionals. One concrete suggestion that’s known to be included is dropping the requirement to disavow existing citizenships upon getting a Russian citizenship. Hungary, Romania, and Poland are cited as examples to emulate.
The Visegrad nations don’t have issues in this regard. A quick perusal of Wikipedia shows that one typically becomes eligible citizenship after 8-10 years of residency.
Where To Go?
As per above, you should really go to the countries you’re interested in it personally and immerse yourself in everyday life for at least a few months before making a life-changing definition.
However, here are some brief thoughts on each potential country/region.
Russia
I have comprehensively surveyed its pluses and minuses in my series of national comparisons (see here: https://akarlin.com/tag/national-comparisons/ ) and 10 Ways Life in Russia is Better than in America (10 ways it is not).
Of relevance to expats: I should note that there’s a big difference between Moscow [First World]; SPB and the millioniki [Visegrad development levels]; and the small town provinces [Balkan development levels] in terms of civility, crime, functionality, development, infrastructure and social services, etc. Modern Moscow is unique in that it is a modern SWPL paradise that is still conservative by Western standards (though liberal by all-Russian ones); as I understand, you don’t really get that anywhere else outside East Asia. The “last White metropolis“, I have called it. If I had to recommend an alternative in “La Russie Profonde”, it would be Sochi – very good infrastructure thanks to the Winter Olympics, one of the best climates in Russia in close proximity to skiing resorts (though buffed by cold winds from the Pontic steppe during winter), close to the heart of Russia’s agricultural breadbasket (inc. cheap steak that’s now competitive with the best of what the US has to offer), and informally Russia’s second capital.
My sample size is modest, but while almost all the expats I know in Moscow and Sochi are happy where they are, the two guys in Saint-Petersburg are not, and want to move to Moscow.
Society might be “based” but respect for personal liberties is minimal. There are hate speech laws comparable in content to those of Western Europe, and if anything, they are enforced more viciously. Make sure to familiarize yourself with Article 282 here, here. Familiarize yourself with Russia’s chain of racial privilege: While in the West you can’t criticize Jews, in Russia you can’t criticize Caucasians or Islam. In this sense, Russia is very much inferior to the Visegrad nations. That said, there have been recent moves to substantially decriminalize Article 282. (HEIL PUTLER!)
Apart from the citizenship issues mentioned above, there’s also banal geopolitics. I won’t go on about it since I assume that people who follow me are familiar with this. But yes, there’s a real chance that sanctions may be stepped up. Even assuming no further “international community”-disapproved foreign policy adventures like in 2014, the Dems are going to have it out for Russia after Trump, and I am skeptical that the EU countries will be able to challenge the Americans on that. Financial transfers may become very tricky. American online services like Steam may extend Crimea restrictions to the entirety of Russia (no worries… you’re not going to jail for pirating here). There is a very small but not altogether negligible chance of war with the US in the next few decades.
Visegrad
I am hoping that our Visegrad residents can say more, but in general, this is a solid choice – and surely a safer bet than Russia.
Poland: Pluses – socially conservative, vigorous economic development. Contradictory trends amongst youth: The commenter Polish Perspective will cite polls showing youth are very based on race and immigration. OTOH, they are certainly not social conservatives (see my graph of Polish support for gay marriage above). They are highly Americanophile, which should be great for American expats. Minuses – overly slavish Americanophilia may lead it down dead ends.
Czechia: Pluses – extremely based on race/immigration. Most developed/modern of the Visegrad nations, though Poland and Slovakia are gaining on it. But they also have a much stronger libertarian streak than anywhere else in Visegrad. They respect gun rights (neither Russia not any other Visegrad country does that). Just ask the blogger/physicist Luboš Motl about that. While I have not been to Visegrad myself, if I had to move on from Russia, I’d probably try to settle in Czechia (based on what I know about it). However, Czechia is not a socially conservative country like Poland, and it is extremely irreligious. This doesn’t concern me, since I am not super socially conservative or religious myself. But it might be an issue if your dream is to live in a genuinely conservative society, as well as a homogenous white one. Then Poland might be better.
Hungary: Pluses – extremely based on race/immigration. Le Orban. Minuses – unlike Poland, and (for the most part) Czechia, there is a huge population of Gypsies. The language is extremely difficult, more so even that Slavic languages, and it is specific to Hungary. The level of English language knowledge in Hungary is the lowest in the EU, so even communicating outside Budapest might be tricky (or so I would guess). That said, there’s a substantial Alt Right expat scene in Budapest – it includes Matt Forney, Michael Polignano, and even (partly) our own RamzPaul – and they seem to be pretty happy there.
Slovakia: I don’t really know much about it – hopefully Beckow can chime in. Unlike Czechia, they are socially conservative.
Balkans
Too many Gypsies, too much dysfunction. I wouldn’t even bother.
Ukraine
As a young downshifter who wants to live like a king on pennies in a Western currency and run game in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov? Sure, go for it. As a stable destination for family emigration, at least as of this time – nope.
Furthermore, the Ukraine bans double citizenship, period (unless you’re an oligarch like Kolomoysky).
Baltics
I wouldn’t go there either, and not on account of them being the world’s most dedicated Russophobes. (An irrelevant consideration for an American, anyway).
First off, their own people are deserting those countries. It’s slowing down, and Estonia in particular has pretty much stabilized. But from many accounts the streets feel empty.
Second, horrible climate. Same reason I’m not a fan of SPB.
Third, all the Russian expats I know or have heard of have had bad experiences there – and these are not vatniks, but Baltic-loving, Russia-hating liberal cargo cultists we’re talking about. This guy’s attempt to open a bar failed (no young people with money to frequent them). Green activist and darling of the Western press Chirikova emigrated to Estonia and is now whining about it. A person I know (liberal but racialist pro-European) was very unhappy with his purchase of an apartment in Lithuania… with the area half-deserted, there’s no amenities within walking distance and it has lost value since the purchase.
Fourth, they are socially liberal, irreligious, and far more open to poz than Visegrad or Russia. This is furthest advanced in Estonia, which also happens to be the most desirable country in the Baltics. Lithuania is the most conservative country there, but it’s also the more depressive. Highest suicide rate in the world.
those aren’t recent moves, it’s been banned since at least the Weimar republic and there has never been a homeschooling culture in modern Germany.
As for the topic of emigration, one reads a lot of that on German internet forums as well; imo it’s mostly posturing and indulging a pointless fantasy, also somewhat cowardly tbh. Emigration isn’t a realistic prospect for most Westerners, and if there really was a mass exodus of Westerners to Eastern Europe, it might well arouse the resentment of the locals (would certainly be the case with Germans in Poland or the Czech republic; and tbh, given how obnoxious Americans can be, they might not be that popular either). Cultural differences between different European nations are hardly irrelevant.
And the way things are going, there’s no guarantee one will be safe from the coming storms in Eastern Europe anyway, as you’re correctly pointing out.

Does anyone know what the English teaching scene is like in Moscow? Is it viable for a long term career choice?
Wouldn’t the best place for western traditionalists be scandinavia? Yes it’s very liberal and PC and they have some immigrants, but their welfare state makes having large families very affordable.
Th only western traditionalist are groups like the mormons. ‘Western trads’/ white nats talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk. Serious nationalists like the early zionists understand the importance of fertility even if they don’t have much money for each kid (kids have to share a bedroom, boo hoo). The trend among the US literati elites from the 1900s all the way into the 1970s had been socialism – from mild Euro social democracy to hard line Stalinism or Maoism. And yet USA did not turn socialist.
This is because the masses resist elite trends when these trends are seen as hostile foreign encroachment (Commie Russkie in case of the 20th America.)
In Russia, the poz is seen by the common people as hostile American influence, therefore I predicts that it will not take. Poland, Baltics, and other American cargo cultists will eventually be the poz equivalent of more Catholic than the Pope. The Ukraine is right on the edge and can go either way.
Anatolij is spot on on social attitudes. We are at most one generation behind the west, maybe even less. Our “conservatives” are basically old american cucks. There is huge pressure to introduce stricter “hate speech” laws, and a lot of youngsters get all dreamy and wet about getting Poland as diverse as US, in exchange for few imaginary pats from the westerners.
Last year I got my first “sexism” accusation in the university (for un-PC speech and writing). I have not got any trouble for that, in fact I would have not even knew about that if I wasn’t interested in the students opinions about me; so make of it what you want.
And there is Adamowicz tragical death, which the left is already using as a ram to destroy the steady walls of Polish rightwing fortress.
OTOH, 1/5 or so of Poles openly identify as nationalists – though less than 5% actually votes for one of the nationalist parties.
If you are VD fan, then you may recognize his law in action – any institution with no protection specifically designed to keep SJWs out, in time will be taken over by SJWs. In this case, it seems it’s also relevant to whole countries. My country is being slowly taking over by SJWs. I’m pretty sure in 10 years max someone will try to evict me from the academia.

It’s obviously false and to find out you only need to read any Polish english-language community, when basically every week some westerner comes and asks pretty much the same questions.
If I had to choose between all the countries mentioned, I would choose Russia, even if it is the weaker candidate than either my own country or Czechia on a range of issues right now. Why? Because if you want to settle in a country for the long haul then you need to think beyond the immediate comforts. Your own life will be upended permanently regardless of where you move, and thus you really need to think of your kids.
What Russia has which the others do not:
True independence. Russia may or may not fall to SJW cancer, but its fate is entirely in its own hands. It has a truly self-sufficient economy to a much greater extent, very low debt, massive natural resources and tons of land. Its people have proven themselves for centuries when times got very tough. You need that track record.
Poland is both whiter and richer. It is less corrupt and it has much less onerous hate speech laws. I don’t know about Russia’s homeschooling laws, but ours are very good. Generally, the policy here is very pro-family. The state has very limited capability to take away your kids if they deem you unfit unless in very serious instances (such as rampant alcoholism etc). There was even a case of a Norwegian woman who fled to Poland recently to avoid her authorities taking her kids and subsequently sought asylum, created quite a stir in our media. (She was granted).
But Poland has one distinct disadvantage which makes all those advantages appear fleeting: it is extremely dependent on the US, which in turn is extremely hostile to whites. Therefore, its long-term options are quite limited unless China would somehow extend its reach into Europe (very unlikely) and/or Europe itself uncucks itself and becomes much more nationalist (also unlikely). Even if the latter were to be true, history tells us that nationalists are not exactly great collaborators. So Polish geography would once again become the perennial woe.
Czechia is an alluring option on the surface. It has the advantages of Poland yet is richer and more liberal in the best sense (gun laws). Though its distance is shrinking. On PPP-adjusted wages, it is already behind us. While Czechia has a better geographic position – and thus more easily be able to withstand ZOG cultural/political pressure in exchange for security – it is still a small country of 10 million. Even if, let’s say, it managed to “hold out” it would still be doomed in the long run if the rest of its neighbours fell to the same cancer. Being surrounded demographically by a slow-moving cancer is not a viable long-term strategy.
My advice to this individual would thus be to look for Russia first and foremost, then Czechia, then Poland. Slovakia is too small and Hungary has too many gypsies. Hungary is also placed most precariously of all the Visegrad nations, given its proximity to the Balkans. So even if the regime is good, there will always be a certain, eh, “spillover” during the summers. Especially as Hungary is getting richer. This will compound itself as the years roll on.
Ultimately, however, I do not subscribe to ‘Eastern Exceptionalism’. Europe will not survive if the West falls, especially since we’re so economically interlinked now. I would actually unironically advise said person to even look into Scandinavia. They are whiter today – with the exception of Sweden – than the US was in 1965. Some of them have good homeschooling. Rural Norway, say, need not be a terrible place if you can afford it and the kids don’t mind the countryside. I’d even look into Iceland. Poz is a factor, but can be neutralised somewhat by where you are and taking your kids out of public schools.
But ultimately, I do not believe that running away is an option for most people and for most countries. Borders are too porous, and so are ideas. This may not be what the person in mind wanted to hear, but it is the unvarnished truth, at least as I see it.
Moscow is now in economic development, infrastructure, education, etc, at the level of Germany. And equally, has its famous liberal politics in central Moscow (elite areas) which is probably similar to equivalent German cities .
Westerners who like Moscow, are surely not there because of its politics (liberal in elite areas, probably just like in Frankfurt), but because it is the economically successful vast metropolis, the largest city of all Europe, with the culture, shopping and amenities you can expect for a huge city – and Western workers/businessmen also likely have a high-salary job so they can afford the good restaurants.
Equally, people are not moving to Western Europe because of politics or gay parades (except for a few political activists). They move to Western Europe because of the career opportunities. It’s why so many people with higher education are going away.
I see you’re back to your permabearishness. Nationalism in Poland is still quite immature precisely because there is no real need for it. In a 99% white country, fault lines will inevitably fall on non-ethnic/racial grounds, which means gender and sexuality.
FWIW, on popular Polish websites, like Wykop (our reddit) you have straight-up racial realist content being upvoted to the front page on a regular basis. Good luck seeing that on reddit. I see lots of poles on /pol/. Are these just anecdotes? Statistical surveys would disagree.
Is it concentrated among the educated elite? Not in my experience. My guess is that you’re probably a lecturer in the softer humanities, with its overflow of hyperleftist wahmen.
We do have a budding feminism problem, but one could also view it as the latest manifestation of excessive Polish deference to women, a national trait that even the Chinese commented upon some centuries ago. In other words, it’s not so much as an import as an old pathology repackaged in new colors.
Correction: boomers. Young people are much less religious and thus split into either the left or the hard-right. Most educated young men tend to be libertarian(ish) but with a right-wing bent. That’s at least what I see when I hang out with other econ students, engineers, hard sciences etc. Maybe its different for philologists and sociologists, but who gives a shit about those clowns.
You can’t have it both ways. First there are barely any conservatives in Poland, you even use scarequotes, and now it’s a “right-wing fortress”. The left are spineless and he deserves the knife, btw.

What’s notable about this march is that the PiS cucks tried to have their own march but it so spectacularly failed and backfired that they had no choice but to give in. This is the best position to be in: where you are not dependent on the major party but have your own grassroots movement outside of it. PiS needs our support and votes, and they know it. And we’re not desperate to sell out or to cuck out. When the heat was on days before the march, our guys stood firm and refused to yield, forcing PiS back into the fold. Maybe you should look to them for some inspiration on how to find a spine.

Of Eastern European countries, I’ve only spent a significant amount of time in Russia (a number of years now) and can say that it is indeed a fine place for a sane person to raise a family. One point of which people should be aware, though, is that if you are religious, you are better off belonging to one of the “traditional” religions of Russia than to a foreign one, in which case you might find yourself rather isolated.
Isn’t there a remnant German-speaking part of Poland in Silesia, near Oppoln? I would think that that place might be one of the few that German culture survives, protected by minority rights in Poland. Maybe Austria, too.
Germany might right itself, but my hopes aren’t great.
I believe there are several instances in scifi where there is a deepspace-faring era in which the world is mostly united, but with one holdout – the Russian Federation (or substitute word.)
I’d always scorned the idea that scifi writers were genius-level prognosticators, but there might be a grain of truth in the idea that Russia has some potentiality for independence from a New World Order.
I don’t really know much about it, but I looked it up and you’re right, there’s still a German minority there (estimated at about 300 000, though I suppose it might be lower in reality).
I doubt Poles would be thrilled though about Germans moving en masse to Poland, that would probably bring up unpleasant historical memories.

You are right. I just can’t see a reason for optimism. Recently I’ve read few articles on DoRzeczy, one not signed by regular publisher, but probably by someone for younger staff – you know, most sites have their young applicants doing this kind of stuff. And those few could be taken straightly from GW, with weasel words suggesting between the lines that rightwing politician was wrong saying something. DoRzeczy is one of the most right-wing papers in Poland!

Yes, majority is still right-wing. But the thing is few years ago such thing would be unthinkable. Previously I was freely joking with students and I got always good laughs (even if sometimes they were of the kind “oh-no-I-can’t-believe-you-said-it”). My bosses were quite based by our standards. And now.. the bosses are old and they retire one by one. Plus, within past few years few things happened which I would thought would be impossible in Polish university, including bowing to SJW on one of conferences organized by my colleagues.
Hey, I haven’t said there are no conservatives. I’ve only said they look as conservatives in USA from 30 years ago or maybe 20: basically, cucks by modern standards. Sure, immigration is bad which is why we need more immigrants from Philippines, because those are catholics and will integrate. And Vietnamese, because… I don’t know why. Then they put a strong, verbal opposition to “Konwencja antyprzemocowa” but then they signed it anyway.
RIght-wing fortress – because it seems we have conservative society now, with a lot of seemingly hardliners in politics – but heck, when you look at it more closely, a lot of them would condemn evil nationalist, would declare their love for progressive values and will do anything to avoid the “fascist” label.
If there will be a real need for it, it would be already too late. Within last few years the number of non-whites I met on everyday occassions in trams/busses rised significantly. My friends are telling me that there is huge increase of number of Hindu in the industry.

This is an understatement. In many aspects it is even more liberal than much of the West (https://www.businessinsider.com/map-divorce-rates-around-the-world-2014-5). Children grow up in a land of broken families. Some even notice and complain (https://www.idnes.cz/zpravy/domaci/petr-martinek-zlaty-amos-ucitel-oceneni.A180314_142627_domaci_nub – just 30% from intact families). And it is only getting worse.
Good for PUAs and low paternal investment men, not for raising a family.
Gun laws are for now liberal, for sure, but not for long. There has been a “harmonization” current EU directives and other will follow.
Hungary: lowest level of English and difficult language are very positive in the abstract. It means it is not as connected into the decadent, globalist brainwashing apparatus.
To some extent, but I believe that you still overstate how liberal Moscow is. With national support for gay marriage no higher than 10%, it is simply impossible for Moscow to be above 30%.

Moscow: 29% in 2005; 21% in 2011
SPB: 34% in 2008, 21% in 2011
Must be even lower now, since all-Russian support for gay marriage collapsed from low to minimal in the past decade.
I allow that support for gay marriage is at 30% in the Tverskaya district, and that the polling stations at places like PhysTech, MSU, and HSE would register 50% support in the event of a referendum.
Hmmm one retraction: I can’t find those DoRzeczy articles; possibly they were modified, with weasel words removed, which would be a good sign…
What about Belarus, the true last bastion of the white race?
The Reconquista was facilitated by people fleeing North. Of course, we are not at Zimbabwe-level yet, but many people there foolishly decided to stay. Not that I’m saying many people aren’t cowards, but just that there might be a rational time to leave. If I were in SA, I’d definitely try to leave, and probably would have once Rhodesia fell. Those people were looked down upon and called traitors.
What is that time? And is a reconquista even possible? Is Eastern Europe even safe? Of these things I have no idea.

Sure, but I don’t think many Westerners will be going into Moscow for local politics, which is not so different (if they can be in the centre) from those of their own cities (Frankfurt, Vienna, Milan, etc).
Westerners (and other nationalities) like to live in Moscow, because it’s a mostly developed place nowadays in all the fields of metropolis of a first world Europe.
I’m not sure gay marriage an important topic which affects more than 2% of the population. It’s only used by Western propaganda as an excuse to criticize Russia. (In America itself, Obama/Clinton even oppose gay marriage, until there was some change of American “Weltanschauung”).

While the first-order effects of gypsies are quite negative, their presence may have the positive second-order effect of inoculating the local population against a pro-diversity agenda. Was surprised in 2008 when staying at a hotel in Nürnberg with the young Polish man who worked there. I’d have expected anger towards Germans, but that was all exhausted I think after the artistic cleansing of Silesia in the four after-war years. True, although not as conservative as Poland. The issue in Slovakia is the gap between the Bratislava region (south-west) and the rest. Bratislava is great in terms of quality of life and logistics – 30 minutes from the Vienna airport, but it is often a liberal cesspool full of aspiring wannabes who regularly demonstrate for ‘decency‘. They have moved on from their previous crazy obsessions like pro-EU, pro-rainbow, anti-corruption, to just marching for ‘decency‘. Probably because they keep on losing elections to the dreaded ‘populists‘, maybe they can fool enough people with ‘we stand for decency‘ (I wonder how long it took some marketing NGO wizzard to come up with that slogan). Like all big cities in eastern Europe it is also a comprador central. That can be amusing, some of the accents are beyond comedy, but the general ‘we are for sale‘ vibe can get old.
Generally one has a choice between a metropolitan environment with good economy and plenty of culture, but with many of the same pathologies that plague the West, and a conservative, pleasant life outside of big cities that can be isolating.
I would still say that Slovakia is very well positioned for the future. It is not too small – 5.5 million is within what I consider an ideal size for a country of 3 to 20 million people – it has great infrastructure, low crime, mountains, booming economy and a very good geographic location. It has been demographically very stable with decent family life and almost no migrant populations (there are some Gypsies in the east). Most of Slovakia looks like Europe did a generation or two ago. If we keep the Merkel-Macron migrating hordes out (big if), and avoid a war in the east, it will slowly get better. One fear are the secondary migrants from the West – all the existing migrants in the West who might start moving east and establish footholds for their tribal countrymen to join them later. Maybe our difficult language, low social benefits and the unpleasant byrocracy (oh, yeah, the Habsburg-communist-old lazy ladies byrocracy is quite a thing here) will protect us. And the poppy-seed cakes are incredible.

As far as I know, applying for multinational corporate jobs in Moscow require business-levels of Russian. It also doesn’t seem like a good place for an international businessman to set up main headquarters for now.
And if the US goes on a messianic hysteria against Russia (e.g. designing it as a state sponsor of terror and institute an embargo on trade and large scale third party sanctions) and the EU meekly follows, those multinational corporate jobs will likely dry up as they get forced to divest their assets. And in this case, forget about making an international business work: That would be about as difficult and raise as much scrutiny as running an international business based out of Tehran nowadays. Russia’s economy will crater and Moscow’s vibe will likely revert to something more resembling the Soviet era in this case.
As for Scandinavia, Finland is the best choice up north, there is a gowing nationalist movement and some teens were recently raped by (refugees) and the narrative has started to shift the last 2 years. President said refugees that don’t respect Finnish values are unwelcome.
Croatia seems too small. Only 4.2 million people and declining, with Zagreb having a metro population of only 1.1 million.

Slovakia is actually not a bad choice: For those of us who either work high powered white collared jobs or are international businessmen, working out of Vienna and commuting daily to/from Bratislava sounds doable, if just a tad tiring.

Poland: from what I have heard, the Polish government is welcoming in hordes of Pakis, Indians, and others on work visas. Even in this thread a commenter pointed out seeing more non-whites in public places.
Czechia: there are reports of Arabs moving to villages, purchasing houses and having large families. That is the first wave.
Hungary: probably safe for now, but while they can refuse migrant transfers, they cannot stop people with EU passports from coming in. Those Arabs and Somalis just have to wait till they obtain said passports. On the plus side, the fertility rate is rebounding.

We have a mixing of terms here that doesn’t translate well into how Westerners think. Czechs are permissive and tolerant of almost everything, but have a conservative core set of beliefs. Because of the disastrous Habsburg policies forcing Catholicism on Czechs starting in the early 17th century, most Czechs will simply never identify as ‘Christians‘ (there is a small Catholic activist minority mostly in the east in Moravia). There is also an attitude that one’s private life is his/her business. But on most key issues that are relevant today Czechs are very solidly old-fashioned and conservative and have always been. SJWs attitudes only play well with the usual big city opportunists, mostly in Prague.
In fact, I’ve heard from at least 3 different internet forums excluding this thread that there has been a rapid rise in the Indian/Pakistani population in Poland since 2017.

City which has 800k in urban area is not really that small by European standards. Croatia is not that neoliberal, on societal issues it is to the right of Czech Republic of Slovakia. Church is still rather influential and Croatia amd Slovenia are the only two countries that successfully banned gay marriage through the referendum. Economically, it is similar to the Hungary, yeah. Infrastructure is rather nice, crime is low. Gypsy problem is miniscule in comparison to Serbia, Czechia or Hungary, not to mention Romania. My wife is Ukrainian (Russian) most of the younger Russians that are not “vatniki” want to get out of Russia. I know some people who do the commute and in general it is not sustainable. Driving doesn’t work because of traffic in Vienna. Buses and trains are good and fast but only connect central points. Over time the 60 km (40 miles) separating the city centers along Danube river will probably get developed into a set of interconnected suburbs. But Vienna is quite a Third World city already, this might not be such a good thing.

Vienna is around 20% non-white, but schools are closer to 50%. There are many bezirks (districts) that have flipped in the last 5 years. As always the real problem are not the initial migrants – who are visible and go through a kind of a screening process. The real issue is chain migration. Each migrant can – and does – bring dozens of relatives, then goes back to ‘marry‘ and bring wife’s relatives. It is at this point literally unstoppable – Austria is too humane to question it.
The reason there are so many Third World kids and old people brought in is that it is an extremely profitable thing to do: all the free social benefits in Austria are linked to either kids or elderly. Hungary has a somewhat flamboyant culture that the rest lack, I can’t quite describe it but it, somehow, ‘feels’ more exotic than the others, even Russia. Budapest is great, Debrecen a bit boring, but habitable. The hot springs there make the winters much less unpleasant.

I visited Lviv with my wife, and in her company we all speak Russian (my family in Lviv doesn’t speak English). Once or twice we got some dirty looks. English-speakers are probably treated worse in Quebec than are Russian-speakers in Lviv. And if it’s obvious you are a foreigner I can’t see much of a problem, unless you get into political debates with people and take Russia’s side.
Lviv attracts a lot of Russian-speaking tourists from Kiev (I suspect – due to hryvnia devaluation people who aren’t willing to go to Prague for a weekend anymore substitute with Lviv) so the Russian language is not that rare in the city. When I was there in 2017 some guy was playing “Russian rock” with a guitar (Makarevich, but he sped it up and made it sound better than the original) in the market square, nobody complained.

Is homeschooling really that important topic when considering life changing event as possible emigration? In the Czech Republic it is two decades old option, but it is used by minuscule numbers. Political/religious reasons are minority within this minority. There no realistic chance of home education gaining significance, the society is simply too poor for it.
Similarly the gun rights. Czech ones are rather permissive (for the citizens), but to use a gun for self-defense is a very rare thing, topic for newspaper headlines. Unless one is professional shooter/paranoiac/gun nut this is so irrelevant.
Hypothetical emigrant should IMO consider (1) language, (2) economic opportunities and (3) physical safety. Czech economic outlook is abysmal and mastering the language is extremely hard for non-Slavs. Expats are not liked and getting accepted as “one of us” is rare.

Personally, I like Bulgaria. I am more relaxed there than most places. But Canada has plenty of room and First World living. Western Canada is quite conservative.
In the Russian Far East, the federal government will give you a free hectare of farmable land to set up a homestead. Life off the grid! The land can be quite good. Soyabeans are native to the area (the Jewish Republic I think). A large minority are Ukrainians.
Tax cuts are much better than handouts because they help working people who pay taxes, but don’t help people on welfare.
The higher rate of industrial robots compared to France and UK make Czechia appealing to me as a control system/industrial automation engineer (this is my bread and butter skill). It also implies lots of manufacturing. This is also key for me.
Socially liberal is OK. I care about people being functional (work ethic, generally pro-free market, few social problems like drugs or penchant for socialism) but don’t care either way about traditionalism per se (I’d live in Singapore if I could).
Gun rights are a big plus for me even though I’ve never owned a gun nor do I plan to buy any. Gun rights represent a form of self-reliance.

The Krasnodar krai coastline (from Anapa to Sochi) is excellent in general. Has all the general pros/cons of Russia that have been discussed, but with comfy subtropical/borderline Mediterranean weather/climate, good mixture of both cheap and higher-end stuff, good communications and so on and so forth. Plus, if you’re in the northern parts, Crimea is less than a day’s drive away (on excellent roads!) and you can snap a bridge selfie and get Myrotvoretsed. Always a plus.
Besides Visegrad group: Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia. All are pretty good choices as long as you have a decent-paying job (tough without local language) or reasonable savings as a retiree.
This is critical. What are you going to do for work? What kind of lifestyle will that afford? Will you be content with that lifestyle, which is almost certainly going to be more austere than what you’re used to in the US?
As an adult emigrant to a country, you are committing to spend the rest of your life as an outsider, having few or no close friends except maybe some fellow ex-pats. Can you deal with that? Can your wife? Your kids may or may not assimilate depending on how young they are when you make your move, whether they “look” local, how “exotic” their surname is in the country etc, but you can reasonably expect at least some bullying for being an outsider, an American and a foreigner. Will your kids be able to master the language? Will you ever even become competent in it? Russian is considered quite difficult for native English speakers; Hungarian strikes me as basically impossible.
I know people like to think in more romantic terms and not this sort of dreary nuts-and-bolts way, but we are not living in the 19th century where immigrants are all interchangeable farmers issued plots of land whose only responsibility is to grow wheat. America and other Western countries are on average quite hospitable to immigrants, but even then it’s still not an easy life.
Re: gypsies in Hungary, I didn’t find their presence in Budapest to be at all oppressive. In fact, I don’t think I saw a single gypsy the whole trip, at least one that I recognized as such (though there were a lot more homeless in the subway stations there than in Vienna or Munich).

Belarus is very nice, if a little boring. Misnk definitely has better domestic services than Russia outside of Moscow/Peter. But what happens after Lukashenko is anyone’s guess.

Pretty good post. I can offer my two cents having lived in Eastern Europe for the past two years, first primarily in Hungary and now in Georgia (is Georgia Eastern Europe? part of it is geographically in Europe and it has historic connections to Europe through Christianity and the Russian Empire/USSR, but the culture here has a noticeably heavy Turkish/Iranian influence).
Hungary
Hungary is very much a mixed bag. Budapest is the only city of consequence there: the next largest city, Debrecen, has a population of 200,000. I’ve never been there, but I’ve been to Győr and Miskolc, which are slightly smaller, and they’re basically glorified villages. In terms of infrastructure, services, and English fluency, Budapest is the only game in town. I’d consider settling down in Győr if I married a Hungarian girl only because it’s an hour from Budapest by train (and about an hour from Vienna).
Upsides: Budapest is very livable, though not as nice as Polish cities. Good transportation infrastructure, with an extensive metro, trams, trolleybuses, and buses (though if you live in the city center, you can reach everything on foot easily). Good train and bus connections to nearby cities and Budapest’s airport has a lot of direct international flights. No Uber, but they have Taxify. Good nightlife and restaurants. English fluency is more or less universal among people under 45 (the only time I had issues is when I went to the post office). Postal service is reliable, more so than private couriers. Good shopping options: you have European brands like Tesco, Spar etc. Weather is mild: because it’s in the middle of a bunch of mountain ranges, you get warmer winters and cooler summers than surrounding countries, and little snow. Nice infrastructure, at least in the center. Lots of things to do: museums, festivals, etc. Less overt Americanization than other E.U. countries: there are only a handful of American brands (McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and I think there’s a Subway down by Blaha Lujza ter). Low cost of living for an E.U. country. Easy to get residence.
Downsides: TOURISTS everywhere. Outside of winter, downtown Budapest is clogged with tourists, mainly British stag partiers on $20 Ryanair flights. They’re loud, obnoxious, and impossible to avoid. Constant construction: two summers ago, I was woken up at six am on the dot by crews working on the sewer lines outside my house. Questionable cabling quality in the inner city: I regularly got disconnected from the Internet when I did YouTube streams or downloaded large Steam games. Lazy private couriers: ordering packages from DHL or other services is a massive pain in the ass. A preponderance of German-style “inspection shelf” toilets (if you’ve been to Germany, you know what these monstrosities are like). Also, poz is creeping in fast. The women in Hungary are getting fatter and there are tattoo parlors every other block (including, bizarrely enough, the hybrid tattoo parlor/bar or tattoo parlor/cafe, because nothing beats a vegan panini while some fat guy draws a butterfly on your ass). The Hungarian language is insanely difficult to learn; I’ve had an easier time with Russian and Ukrainian, despite them using an entirely different script. Hungarians themselves are cliquish and difficult to befriend; I’m lucky in that I had a social circle before I moved to Budapest. Gypsies are dangerous and annoying, but they’re also easy to avoid. Big homeless problem, particularly in the city center, though from what I understand the government is finally doing something about them.
Poland
Upsides: Excellent infrastructure, at least in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznań, and Przemyśl. Very fast and modern trains, trams, metro, buses etc. Warsaw’s airport is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. Better roads than the U.S. English fluency is high in the big cities. Better Internet, postal delivery, private couriers than Hungary. Cleaner. Good selection of European shopping brands. Cost of living is the highest in Eastern Europe but still significantly lower than the U.S. or Western Europe. The Polish population is more distributed so there are a number of smaller cities like Poznań that have pretty good infrastructure and amenities. Poles are still kind of impressed with Americans but that’s fading fast.
Downsides: Poz is more advanced than anywhere else in Eastern Europe; the Poles really really want to be like their American cousins. When I was in Warsaw two months ago, bluehairs and tattoos were everywhere. A lot of overt Catholicism, but also a lot of overt homosexuality. Women are getting fat and obsessing over their careers. Warsaw is an ugly city; most of it was leveled in World War II, so it was rebuilt in an American/Soviet style and is thus very spread out and architecturally unappealing. Krakow is as full of American tourists as Budapest is full of Brits, while Poznań has a lot of German expats. American brands are everywhere: McDonald’s, Subway etc.
Serbia
Avoid. Belgrade is run-down and depressing, with crumbling buildings and dirty streets. Infrastructure is terrible: I took a train from Budapest to Belgrade and it took nine hours (for the record, the two cities are less than three hours apart by car) due to the shoddy rails. More expensive than Budapest (WTF?). I’m told Novi Sad has a better quality of life, but Novi Sad is also very small, so take that for what you will. The food in Serbia is really good: I love ćevapi and pljeskavica. People there are cliquish, though there’s surprisingly little anti-Americanism (aside from a huge installation at the parliament building blaming the Clintons for stealing Kosovo and defending Albanian war criminals); when I was there, there were a lot of people hocking Trump and Putin T-shirts. Women are less pozzed than in Hungary or Poland, but there are a shocking number of lesbians (their prime minister is a lesbian, for crying out loud).
Slovakia
Only been through here briefly a few times, in Banská Bystrica and Donovaly. Seemed like a more conservative and less developed Poland, with crappier roads and less English fluency.
Ukraine
Upsides: really attractive women. Cheap.
Downsides: bad infrastructure, not as bad as Serbia’s (at least Ukrainian trains run on time), but still pretty bad. The desirable cities like Lviv are flooded with tourists, particularly weird sex pests from both the West and the Middle East, so the women are less open to getting hit on by foreigners every day. Water is not drinkable due to heavy metal contamination. Sucky Internet. Food is of questionable quality. Nightlife and restaurants questionable. Cities are unappealing: Lviv has a nice city center, but the place falls apart when you leave it. Mukachevo has a waterfront that the city has allowed to turn into a disgusting swamp. People are constantly trying to rip you off. English fluency is spotty.
Georgia
Upsides: cheaper than Ukraine, but with a quality of life comparable to Hungary and approaching Poland in some respects. People are generally honest (though you need to watch out for Middle Eastern-style haggling culture, which is influential here). Good selection of European brands like Spar and Carrefour. Little in the way of Americanization or poz (I’ve seen maybe six bluehairs in five months, no tattoos). Easier to import goods from the U.S. Easy in general to do things like open bank accounts and start businesses. Good nightlife mainly focused around hipster-type bars. Women are more chaste than any other country I’ve been to. Minimal amount of Western tourists; mostly Russians and Iranians. Good food. Very easy to get residency. Nice infrastructure in the city center. Unlike in other parts of Europe, cashiers bag your groceries for you and you don’t have to pay to use the bathroom.
Downsides: shopping selection is inferior to E.U. countries. English fluency is spotty in Tbilisi and nonexistent elsewhere. Public transportation is lacking: the metro is reliable but only has two lines, there are no trams, and everything shuts down at midnight. Postal service is a sick joke; banks won’t even mail ATM cards to people because it’s that unreliable. People are friendly to foreigners (and super-impressed with Americans) but can be dense in a way that only Ukrainians even begin to approach. The Georgian language is almost impossible to learn: it sounds like a hybrid of Hungarian, Arabic, and Russian, and it has its own unique script on top of that. Outside the city center, the architecture is a combo of typical Soviet drudgery and modern American suburbanization.

I doubt AK knows anything about gypsies. They are largely confined (and confine themselves) to their ghettos. Avoiding interaction with them is extremely simple. I would personally recommend living in Klosterneuburg or Mödling and commuting to Vienna. Those two places are extremely popular with Austrians who make good money, want to raise a family but still work in Vienna.
Otherwise you could take a look at Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck or Klagenfurt.

Worst thing is that if you ever try to voice some objections to this whole thing, you get accused of being a russian shill/bot/spy. I would very much doubt those reports. There are pretty much no non-europeans in western european villages 60 years after they started to migrate to europe but arabs have now decided they want to move to czhech countryside. That’s not realistic.
There really is no reason for PoC to go to Eastern Europe. They are better off financially in the west, they have their established communities there and the local population is more welcoming.

Not really surprising if Balts don’t show up on a reactionary Russian blog. But everything is largely true, even the bad weather. The eastern Baltic Sea is where the air keeps swapping between warm Atlantic winds and subarctic cold so coastal cities in winter are constantly swapping between above freezing and snowing. It is absolutely true in the Baltic states that unpozzed social attitudes are associated with the Soviet past and to some extent modern Russia and given that their whole national ambition is to separate themselves from Russia they’re rushing towards poz. Finland has the same problem and people with anti-poz views are constantly accused of agreeing with Russia. Politicians regularly argue that pozzed policies are necessary to signal to the world that we belong to the Western sphere and not to the Russian sphere – whether the policies are harmful just doesn’t matter, all that matters is the wish to “belong to the West”.
Estonia got pozzed earlier than the others due to being highly eager to politically and economically connect to Finland and Sweden but the others will be following. (Sweden, by the way, has just outdone itself with a new government coalition that’s committed to increased immigration.)

The link is actually good news for Austria. Most of the Muslims in Austria are Turks and Bosnian Slavs. Like Tatars and Bashkirs in Russia, these are fairly civilized people. If Austria’s Muslims were Algerians as in France, it would be much more troublesome.
See your point, but several rejoinders.
First, people act differently, whatever their race or religion, as their group gains numbers and strength in a city or society. We shouldn’t assume that these supposedly non-extreme Muslims will continue to be “fairly civilized” as their younger, more confident group grows ever stronger vis-a-vis the aging, demoralized, Genetic-deadend nonMuslims known as white Europeans.
Second, the Armenians would beg to differ about the fairly civilized nature of Turks. In the longer term, it is naive to consider them “the good Muslims” or even the “not-so-bad Muslims.” To be specific, what would turkey and Azerbaijan be doing to Armenians and Armenia right now, if Russia were not there to protect Armenia?
Third, Turkey, especially under erdogan, is actively stirring up separatist and supremacist sentiment among its people abroad, especially in Germany and Austria.
Soon the debate in Germany and Austria won’t be how to assimilate and integrate Muslims into a nonMuslim Western society, but how to assimilate and integrate nonMuslims into the emerging Muslim regime. What exactly will a German or Austrian population that’s mostly in their forties through eighties do, physically, against Muslims who are mostly in their teens through thirties/atmost forties? The most assertively religious societies will win out. Thus a chauvinistic Catholic empire somehow held together despite never, to my recollection, winning any wars, ruled by a German minority comprising 10%. Those individual societies that resulted afterward were overrun by revolutionaries like Bela Kun and his Bolshevists in e.g. Hungary. At least their bizarre unique language has helped the Hungarians from completely dissolving themselves in international socialism, since if they dissolve, they and their culture disappear.
Calvinism without God (modern Progressivism) in the USA is in this way superior to Catholicism. Islam, which unapologetically insists on a one-way ratchet (Muslims may marry non-Muslims, but all the children resulting must be raised Muslim – rather like the old Catholic inter-faith insistence), is superior to Atheist Calvinism. Interesting question is whether a chauvinist Catholicism today would be stronger than Islam; it once was in Spain and Hungary.
Good choice if they can afford the better parts of the USA, Canada, or Australia, and are middle-aged or older.
For younger people, though, it might be wiser to learn a Slavic language and look into Russia as a better place to flee.

In France, most first generation north africans were generally much more secular than second generation immigrants. Islam serves as an ethnic marker for them. And anyone who went to a Turkish neighborhood in Germany knows that the same thing is happening there.
Regarding Turks, they are fairly civilized and trouble-free wherever they are, be it Turkey itself or Germany or Austria. The pattern is well-established. A few more observations:
Most of the turks here are from the most backwards parts of Turkey in the east of Anatolia. They came as gastarbeiter and have family reunified and been fertile and their numbers have become huge. These people are politically inert so far, for the same reason Mexicans in the US have been, to put it politely. Once Erdogan needs something, they will be a giant problem as e.g. the Netherlands have found out.
There are also some Istanbul-style metropolitan types around Brunnenmarkt in Vienna. Smart, educated and hard-working people; good neighbors. If Erdogan keeps going like this maybe more will want to come, but at this point I’d want to decline unless we can exchange them against some fans of E who are already here.

Thanks for the numbers. My sense is that out of the 1.3 million Austrian citizen in Vienna a substantial % is of non-European origin. The official statistics also miss the people who moved to Vienna semi-illegally to join relatives, as students, or simply over-stayed. I know some people who teach in Viennese schools, they say that elementary schools are around 50% non-European. When one goes around Vienna at least 1 in 5 people is clearly visibly foreign.
Austria’s overall demographics are still good, I agree. But Vienna is wobbly and the long-term trend is towards slowly becoming similar to Brussels, Berlin, and Paris. Vienna is very dominant in Austria – 1/4 of population. This is extremely important: the two countries that are a key to Central-eastern Europe staying European are Poland and Austria. Vienna is the informal regional capitol and the main entry point. When I do the numbers going forward, it doesn’t look very good.

Rural and coastal Norway are very attractive places to live. Unlike many other visually appealing places in Europe, it isn’t dirt poor – quite the opposite – so it doesn’t need to persuade tourists to come and spend money. In Russia you also cannot criticize Jews, and to some degree the Orthodox Church. I was just thinking about how obsessed various Western countries were with numerical superiority in military matters. The UK had its two hull strategy. JFK campaigned on the missile gap in 1960. There were so many treaties. At least a part of the reasoning behind them was budgetary, that an infinite arms race would bankrupt them. But now we face infinite immigration, where the immigrants are a financial burden and an enormous and unprecedented threat to peace.

Extremely violent solutions are only required if the ultimate aim is to force all non-whites out of the country. But racial preservation can still be achieved by allowing the creation of racially based political units with the same country and subject to its jurisdiction. The scale across which this occurs is up for debate – you could break a country up into as few as two units (eg white and non-white) or potentially into thousands of geographically non-contiguous units (based on any number criteria) – but the essential result in all cases would be the effective cession of national territory to non-whites for the purposes of establishing white racial exclusivity on some part of that national territory.
Quite naturally, nationalists can be expected to fervently oppose such a proposition. But we really should question whether their opposition is sound or not. If it’s true that there is simply no other political solution in the offing that would permit racial continuity, then nationalist opposition to segregation and effective territorial cession would be tantamount to opposition to racial continuity itself.
What good is keeping all the territory if keeping it implies – indeed, guarantees – eventual racial oblivion? Nationalists might respond that their interests are cultural as well as racial, and that such a racially divided state would not serve their cultural interests, since it would, let us say, make the country too difficult to “manage” in a way that national cultural interests supposedly require. This may be true, but it effectively surrenders racial interests to cultural interests. If both racial and cultural interests cannot be served, then nationalists must be forced to choose between the two. And it should be made clear to them that, if cultural interests cannot be served outside the context of racial continuity and that if the race cannot long survive in a multiracial polity, cultural extinction is bound to follow on the heels of racial extinction. An appreciation of this point should logically compel nationalists to opt for racial interests over cultural interests.
The point should also be made that if nationalists insist on reacquiring control of the entirety of national territory for their race, and that if this cannot be done without recourse to mass violence, then the question of how best to incite mass violence must be answered. Nationalist efforts in this regard have thus far fallen woefully short of the mark. Nationalists themselves seem resigned to the conclusion that if violence will come, it will have to be incited by other political actors – eg marxists, non-whites, muslims – with nationalists merely playing a reactionary role.
If it is true that violence must be incited by other political actors, then that which would encourage these actors to incite violence should logically be favored. I submit that the prospect of carving out exclusive territory for themselves would indeed encourage these actors to incite violence. Moreover, violence incited by them for the purposes of securing for themselves exclusive territory, cut from the national whole, is violence which would induce the most zealous reaction possible – and a reaction not restricted to existing nationalists. This would lead to the most propitious political climate imaginable for nationalists to secure their political aims.
It must be seen then that, somewhat paradoxically, the greatest opportunity for nationalists to reclaim the national territory lies in their willingness to risk surrendering some part of it; and if such a plan relies on nationalists themselves proposing it – ie if other actors refuse to play the role this plan assigns them – then the prospect of nationalist success relies, moreover, on nationalists’ willingness to propose and to (deceitfully) agree to surrender some part of national territory.
Turks are definitely not a trouble-free group in Germany, and have successfully created several no-go ghettos in German cities. Their crime rates, relative to their numbers, speak volumes. Germany also got the worst kind of Turks – illiterate rural inbreds who regularly marry their cousins and practice things like honor-killing. (Kurds are even worse in this regard).

In 2014 the deaths on roads were 28000 , for the last year it was about 19000 deaths. A few years before 2013 it was something like 35000 deaths ( and with a lower rate of car ownership compared to now, or at least on an upward spiral)

Baltics is full of Soviet colonists and their descendants (up to 40%) whom are mostly predominantly Russian, so being Russophobic is a matter of a national survival for those tiny nations at the moment like being Islamophobic is a matter of national survival in Western Europe with the only difference that Muslims have not reached yet such catastrophic proportions in Western societies as Russians in Baltics.
btw, Lithuania is bit of exception as Soviet colonists make only about 10-12% of all population so it had a chance to be somewhat more generous a gave non conditional citizenship to all those alien elements who appeared thanks to forced “open intra borders” policy during Soviet times. Guess it may have something to do with the fact that Lithuania was ruled for a very long time by somewhat national communist leader who was quietly acting against mass Soviet colonization and unique as he was the only local leader in USSR (if I’m not mistaken) who managed to stay in power till his death under Stalin, Kruschev and Breznev.
One single isolated case that was also given much of the media attention is not very exemplary. I was once browsing the reports of the “Sova Center” and there were quite a lot of convictions for anti-Semitism. Many of them, of course, were hardcore Neo-Nazi, but there were also some random guys who were just too stupid to say bad things about Jews.

It only makes one wonder why the author (Anton Blagin) of the original text is not persecuted when his name is known (and even if it were not known, it is not very difficult to find out). Most probably he is a FSB provocateur and honeypot. The Russian judiciary system is very selective: it can persecute a teenager for saving a cartoon picture in his photo album, but turn a blind eye at a guy who has been writing anti-Semitic texts for years (he has a blog, so you can find it and read some).
You can get migration figures from migracje.pl.gov which shows the immigrant breakdown by origin, Non Europeans are very few in number. Most immigrants are other Europeans. Hope that helps
