One can only wonder how many more people would actually show up in support of gay rights events in Russia, if such demonstrations were not banned by an authoritarian government? Why not take this stance to its logical conclusion and just ban gays altogether? If there lifestyle is wrong, why not ban it altogether?

There should be only one flag flown in your country: your countries. Flying any other flags, perhaps except historical ones, should be regarded as treason. Submission to the homosexuals is complete – another stunning win for the Trump administration!

There is no synthesis. Probably over 50% of Ukrainians are nationalists but only 4% or so are pro-gay. This is just about gays trying to appeal to nationalist sentiment. If Ukrainians were all Sovoks, the gay activists would be all about glorifying early Bolshevik tolerance of homosexuality. The fact that gay activists are pandering to nationalism and/or Eurointegration simply reflects the strength of these ideas among the general population in Ukraine.
Completely wrong, the fact that the fag flag is allowed to fly over nationalist symbols unopposed means that nationalism is dead. The next symbolic replacement will be some kind of nigger worship depiction and no doubt you will be arguing how nationalistic that is by sticking it to Russia.

Yes I am getting very concerned about Belarus. Ok on the one hand, I can understand that people do want to improve their quality of life. I don’t think we can argue against that. However, what does concern me is where this pro-democracy movement is going to lead to. The main oppositionist candidate has said he would like Belarus to be independent from both the West and Russia. Fair enough but as we know, money is going to start pouring in from somewhere and I fear the pro-democracy people might just shift to the West heavily, thinking that it’ll give them a great quality of life.
You know, a Russian once told me something quite pessimistic once. The person said that Russia, Belarus and Ukraine would accept mass immigration and becoming a minority if it gave them a really good quality of life. In other words, they’d be happy to sell out. This did make me feel lost for words but it does make you wonder…
Probably I was hanging out with too many rock musicians and artistic types, but back in the 80s and early 90s, Russia seemed to me considerably less homophobic than the West, at least among the intelligentsia. I still think Russians are generally fairly tolerant of individual homosexuals, and everyone knows the theater and ballet scenes are very gay, and no one really minds. Russians are more likely to see homosexuality as a personal weakness, like a tendency to indulge in sweets, rather than a sin against God the way a lot of Americans (and Poles and Western Ukrainians, tbh) are brought up. It is the propaganda and moral preening that Russians find off putting coming from Westerners.
I wouldn’t want to be a gay kid growing up in Lyubertsy, but it probably is still better than being a gay kid growing up on the South Side of Chicago.
What troubles me is apparent lack of pro-Russian opposition in Belarus. Whoever replaces Lukashenka can therefore be expected to pursue pro-Western nationalism: that means a ban on Russian language, attacks on Russian business interests and joint military exercises with NATO in the most optimistic scenario. The Kremlin doesn’t seem to have any plan that would give us better scenarios in Belarus, their only plan is to supply Lukashenka with cheap oil, supply him with cheap gas and hope that potato dictator continues to live for ever.
The big question though Felix we need to ask ourselves is how committed the average Russian is to maintaining a powerful hold? I think it really all depends on the next generation. Dimitri was more optimistic thinking there would still be a power struggle but I do wonder if this power play is simply down to the current Russian elite having been brought up under the USSR. Today’s youth might be quite happy to forget about Belarus or if Belarus goes West, might even start demanding to join in the fun…
If I am to be brutally honest, the more I am seeing from Russia, the more I am starting to consider it a ticking time bomb of liberalism. I think Putinism is sort of a last hurrah if I’m honest.
If I’m to understand this correctly, if a gay person is closeted, they’re more likely to stay home and start a family, than if they’re in a freer environment?
But to start a family, they’d need to be married in order to adopt (they can’t produce there own kids, so adoption is the only way for them to obtain children).
But to adopt kids legally, they’d have to live in a society that sanctions marriage between same sex couples, which means that they’d be living in a freer society where there would be no need to be “closeted” in the first place, so we’re still back at square one. It still doesn’t make any sense?
This sounds quite awful, a little bit like freedom and the ability to really put self determination into practice. Russia needs to quickly send in their battalion of “little green men” and tear off a chunk of the country (I might suggest Vicebsk that is closest to Smolensk that is ethnographically Belorusian). This “anschluss” tactic hasn’t worked very well in neighboring Ukraine, however, Belarus is a much smaller country than Ukraine, so who knows?…
There is a fairly large space after formal tolerance of private homosexuality but before government endorsed homosexual marriage and child trafficking (“adoption”).
It wouldn’t work this time around. Unlike the Crimeans, Belarusians are quite happy to be independent and if anything did occur on the Russian side, there would be mass riots, huge international condemnation and probably even more sanctions. If that happens, the Russian economy would probably go into a major economic crisis, leading to potential huge riots and protests there as well.

In the 90s, Russians also tended to view gays as victims of childhood sexual abuse, that turned them gay. They felt sorry for them. In that sense, Russians were less homophobic than Americans of the same time period.
I think you’re asking the wrong question: “average Russian” is not making these foreign policy decisions. By the same token “average American” never asked for NATO expansion in Eastern Europe, containment of China in East Asia or colonial empire in the Middle East.
Average Russian is very much focused on issues of his day-to-day survival, and expects higher-ups to take care of foreign policy matters. That being said, average Russian is smart enough to understand that he is not part of “the West”, never will be, and any Western successes usually come at his expense. Average Russian possesses a healthy dose of chauvinism, and if a government is perceived as “soft” vis-a-vis Russia’s foreign adversaries, such a government will lose its domestic legitimacy.
The so-called “protests” are incidental to the crime wave. These are not serious dissidents going out into the streets and trying to change their country’s direction, they are just hooligans celebrating their increasingly privileged place within the new status quo with violence and theft.

You ask these questions rhetorically, but until relatively recently homosexuality was considered a crime against God and nature pretty much everywhere in the civilized world and was simply banned. It’s a proven quantity – that in a capitalist society things don’t really gain importance until the sacrosanct nature of property (capital) is involved.
Gays by and large do not start families by their own accord; if allowed to exist but not given any additional support, they will adopt the typically degenerate bath house lifestyle which can be more or less isolated from the rest of society. Informal social rules work pretty well from that point on to discourage them further.
This is what East Asia mostly does, and it generally functions well. You can be a fag, but you’ll find your opportunities in life heavily limited(unless you want to be in entertainment) and especially limited if you want to get into politics.

I personally enjoy the freedom of speech quite a bit. Unfortunately, as Fr. Trentham mentioned, those who loudly demand tolerance can be the most intolerant. I do not think that so-called “freedoms” should come at the expense of the Church, the nation’s health, and human dignity itself. The subversive bleating of that nature should be curtailed; besides, if those who attack the pillars of society are tolerated to the point that they gain political power, they usually use that power to revoke the same rights that allowed them to flourish in the first place. If that is the end result, then there is no point in this so-called tolerance, and I do not struggle with the idea that people who want to harm society should be prevented from doing so.

Which is why in Asia there are so many “escape valves” from the uptight and repressive nature of everyday official Confucian life, with its complex rules. The Japanese businessmen who become uproariously drunk several days a week and visit karaoke parlors and hostess clubs, the Chinese business party of the same type, and the prevalence of women who visit host clubs. And in this system as long as one fulfills ones official duties during the day, there is no stigma to getting blind drunk and passing out on the subway.
And if one really gets fed up with the severe repressions of every day social life in a Confucian society, one abandons it all and becomes a carefree Taoist hermit wandering the hills and drinking wine, leaving all the petty politics and social nonsense behind. And this was more than an option – it was a venerable institution, similar to the Hindu practice of abandoning ones official duties and wandering the Himalaya after age 50.
In Asia who you “truly” were was never confused with your social role, as in the West, and merely social rules and arrangements were never considered the “Logos”, as E.M Jones would have it.
Gays in Asia have no need to revolt to change the social world – social rules are not the Logos but only a relative and pragmatic arrangement that there are many escapes from.

Overall though Central and Eastern Europe (“17+1”) is not among the highest priority corridors in the BRI. Natural resources is somewhere among the top goals. Specifically resource security. If the US and US allies ever impose sanctions that block shipment of natural resources like oil or iron ore to China, there will be at least be Chinese owned mines and oil fields in Africa that continue to ship the resources in spite of sanction pressure. But Asia also has natural resources and a China-Russia political alliance would not only ensure access to resources even during a crisis with the US but also encourage the neutrality of most countries in Asia during the crisis. A China-Russia combo looks like a tough nut to crack.
The largest component of the China-Africa relationship has been loans for infrastructure rather than investment in natural resources. Something like $150 billion has been lent over the past 15 years by the policy banks alone. Most of the funds don’t go to developing mines directly, but rather fund construction of road and power projects. There is a geopolitical dividend to this lending. Africa is more likely to side with China during a crisis. But it’s mostly done to drive contractor profits as Chinese loans require a Chinese general contractor to lead the construction project. In any case, the China-Africa relationship would be on solid ground even with less than half of the money put in over the last 20 years. Maybe the relationship would be healthier with less as China would not become such a big target for debt relief as it is now. The China-Russia relationship needs more financial resources to convince Russia to be more enthusiastic and it is a lot more geopolitically useful than the China-Africa relationship ever could be. I think China-Africa has been a bad use of resources especially given other directions that could have been taken.

He was of Orthodox Polish/Ruthenian descent on his mother side, Russian and Ukrainian descent on his father’s side. He never saw Russians and Ukrainians as separate ethnicities and he was quite sympathetic to Poles. He was born in Debaltsevo and fortunately enough did not live to see the current disgrace

It implies no such thing. There is no reason to think homosexuality is caused by genetic load. Look at the world around you. Sex is widespread. Quite simple organisms get it right. Sex looks like a relatively simple and robust behavior.
Contrast that with the human brain. It is complicated, calorically demanding, and involves the expression of a high percentage of genes in the body. It makes sense that lots of things can go wrong and make people behave differently. We also know this happens with mental retardation. Mutations in hundreds of different genes that we know about cause retardation. Schizophrenia is probably similar. Homosexuality probably is not, in most cases.

Even if this is true(which I doubt), it is unlikely to be relevant for humans. There have been many famines, I’ve never heard about them causing the men to start fucking each other. I was in Budapest last summer. The Castle District was not run down at all but the rest of the city did feel poor and was bit run down and seedy. It appeared to be much poorer and in worse shape than Poland, Moscow region and St. Petersburg. And even though Lviv in western Ukraine is obviously objectively a lot poorer than Budapest, the city looks less rundown and appears to be cleaner and brighter than Budapest. Some of the Budapest outskirts actually reminded me of what provincial Ukrainian cities like Zhytomir look like. My wife suggested that some subtle gypsy influence must be to blame for the shabbiness.
That having been said, it’s worth a visit. The food was excellent, the baths (especially the one with the 100+ year old wave pool) were awesome with the kids, the architecture was beautiful.

Among Eastern European cities I visited (Budapest, Zagreb, Prague) only Prague looked reasonably well off, including the non-touristy areas where regular people live. Except for the castle district and a small area around parliament, Budapest looks as pathetically dilapidated as Zagreb.
We lived in flat Pest, where locals live. My observations suggest that locals can only afford ice cream as eating out equivalent. Grocery stores look a lot poorer than in provincial Russian cities (Penza, Nizhni Novgorod), appear to cater to people who have to count the last pence. There is a difference with Zagreb, though: metro in Pest, however shallow, works fine, so does a cable car that takes you to the castle in Buda. Both were built by Austrians in Franz-Joseph’s time. In contrast, cable car that is supposed to take you to the upper city in Zagreb does not work. The elevation is equivalent to 2-3 stories, so we just walked up.
Good thing about Hungarian poverty is that their excellent operetta is remarkably cheap. It is affordable for the locals: there were no empty seats, and locals clearly knew their operettas, as many in the audience sung along. The singing was in Hungarian (Latin letters, but totally incomprehensible for those who know other European languages) with projected translation to German (which I don’t know well enough). I had no problem, though, as most of their operettas were translated into Russian and widely performed in the USSR.

It is a showcase of wealth and power, and there is no limit on the money authorities can spend on it (for example, billions of dollars have been spent on Moscow to bury power lines. Another cause of the super luxurious looking city, is when a city lives on tourism and image projection. Sorrento is my least favourite example of this. (It is ultra clean and neat for the tourists, but I preferred far more shabby parts of Napoli).

The difference for Romans is active and passive sexuality. With Greeks, the unusual thing they are the pagan people who wrote in such detailed way about their lives, and who we can read the novels and literature about as if we were reading 19th century novels, and understand their subtle interpretation of concepts. The fact that other cultures – Ancient Indian, or Japanese until early modern – have apparently same attitude as in the Greek texts, and don’t view them as separate groups.

In the Bible the story of David and Jonathan is suggestive of a homoerotic relationship, but David was not considered as a depraved person and went on to become the King par excellence for ancient Israelites marrying women and fathering children.

It is difficult to ascertain what Russia’s political future is but from what you are describing, it seems to be that the only thing keeping Russia conservative at the moment is basically the living standards, which seems to be something most Russians are protesting about these days.
I think the larger question we have to ask ourselves is can Russia successfully improve its quality of life without going full blown libtard and GloboHomo? I have studied the issue personally and the answer is no. It does not work in this part of the world.
First – the Hajnal line. Collectivism is higher outside of it, which means less individualism and less liberalism. Russia/Eastern Europe is less individualist than the West.
Second – Russia is in higly competitive area with many very different cultures and civilisations – Eurasia. Liberalism happens in more protected and isolated areas (the end of the European Peninsula, or North America, or ANZ). High competition between neighboring countries is negative for the existance of large scale liberalism.
Russia has issues with many countries around it, plus too much cultural differences with various different civisations around it (as per Huffington) in order to have open borders. Open borders in Russia’s case would mean islamisation and chinafication of the eastern parts, which would be a mortal threat to the country. It has a defensive mindset. Not conductive for liberalism.
Third – separatism. The country has issues with it in various areas. Identity politics will simply implode the country. Thus the countries elites are looking for unity and stability, not for identity politics.

I doubt the effect of uncle provisioning is significant. As for the second sentence, the “positive” impact of an uncle’s provisioning is going to be less(in terms of a gene’s spread) than the negative from his not having children at all. To make up for his not having any children, that uncle would need to have an impact on his sibling such that the sibling produces double the amount of children than the homosexual would have were he not homo(and double the amount the sibling would have had anyway). That is just to break even(and for the impact on the actual gay gene, it’s actually weaker than I say because there is no guarantee the sibling inherited the gene). This is not plausible. Gay genes make no sense, not for 2% of the population.
This is one interpretation. Here is another: Grave disease is an autoimmune disease. It could be that a pathogen causes the autoimmune response and is also responsible for homosexuality in those people. Another possibility is that it’s a spurious correlation. A third possibility is that it is somehow relevant to cause, but only for a tiny number of cases.
If we thought thyroid problems were involved in causing homosexuality, what we would want to do is look at a large number of homosexuals and try to find how many of them do not descend from people with maternal thyroid dysfunction.
In any case, this study assume homosexuality is caused by genetics, then look for evidence that it is. But they do not demonstrate homosexuality is caused by genetics(or probably say very much about the probability of homosexuality being caused by genetics) One should always be critical of such methods. We know that tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. But imagine if we didn’t. We could carry out these same genomic and statistical procedures, and undoubtedly we would find something. We might find hits because of technical reasons that have to do with flaws in our methodologies. But we also might find hits for real reasons, because undoubtedly a person’s propensity towards catching various infectious diseases is impacted by genes. But we wouldn’t be finding cause. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the cause. That is, in the absence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, you don’t get tuberculosis. These studies are insufficient at determining cause, and one should keep that in mind when evaluating results from these studies.
The cause of homosexuality is likely physiological, but that does not mean it is necessarily genetic. As I said earlier, Greg Cochran’s pathogenic hypothesis makes the most sense.
That’s a 20th century solution to 21st century problems.

I think you are forgetting that, prior to the last century’s celebration of homosexuality as a lifestyle and an identity, rather than simply a sexual kink, many homosexuals ended up fathering children due to social pressure or simply because plenty of men are bisexual. Even now it is hardly unusual for self identified “gay men” in the US to father children. The idea that homosexuality is an evolutionary dead end that never reproduces is simply false. You could argue that in a country like Saudi Arabia most of the men are what people in the West might call homosexuals, but there is enough social pressure brought to bear that those men continue to produce children generation after generation and you end up with a society where the men are far more same-sex attached than in the West.
The threat to Russia is not libtardization, it is islamization. For all the talk of building churches and the attempts to resurrect the corpse of Orthodoxy, killed by the Bolsheviks in the 1920s, Islam is the most vital religion in the Russian Federation and growing more rapidly than any other.

Any idea about how many of those that are “attracted” do not act upon their impulses? I don’t know. I’d have guessed not many, in an open society such as ours where they are not ashamed of their attraction and where it is easy for them to find partners. Traditionally such people mostly either followed celibate lifestyles or forced themselves to marry and have kids. Although, given the widespread homosexual behavior in Islamic society, there may have been more going on beneath the surface than is documented.
Given the involuntary nature of gays’ sexual attraction, the appropriate attitude towards homosexuals is compassion, while also being very aware that this compassion can be misused by evil forces who will use homosexuality as a battering ram with which to destroy culture and traditions.
Jesus always taught us to practice compassion to our fellow man, but he didn’t shy away from warning us of staying clear of the influences of the Evil One who runs amok to this day, “like a devouring wolf” that seeds violence and destruction wherever he roams.

Funny that you should mention Fr. Seraphim Rose. I recently obtained his book “Soul After Death” and will start reading it in the very near future.
I believe that he also was a Buddhist at one time. He was a very well read man and devoted a great deal of his life writing about religious Orthodox topics. I’ve read his book called “Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future” and found it to be quite interesting. Then there’s the recent list of reading materials that you’ve recently provided for me…where can I find some additional time?
He has studied under Alan Watts. He had a good grasp on Zen and Taoism and even completed a (Master?) thesis on Taoist concepts of Emptiness and Fullness. Even when he converted to Orthodox Faith he still kept a positive outlook on Zen.
“Soul after Death” is an interesting book because it helps understand how first Christians saw the Afterlife. Some critics of this book have accused Fr Rose of bringing back Gnostic concepts, but Gnosticism was integral to the development of early Christianity as was Neoplatonicism. Indeed, when I read what little is left of the Gnostic apocryphon of Mary Magdalene, I was struck by the description of the human spirit/soul going through the questioning/debriefing by different evil powers, while ascending to Heaven. Interestingly, this apocryphal gospel also presents some elements that might be considered as influenced by the philosophical concept of “dharmas” in Buddhism. It is a shame that 2/3 of this codex are lost.
Going back to homosexuality, according to Orthodox Faith we will all be tempted in manifold ways. Temptations do not make one become “perverted” but succumbing to temptation and making its negative aspects an integral part of one’s personality has a “polluting ” or “deforming ” influence on a human soul. A soul that falls under the spell of different temptations cannot come back to God, cannot undergo Theosis.
Unless God saves it through His Grace, which is always possible when a soul thoroughly repents its sins. No one is lost beyond God’s saving power. This applies equally to all human souls, whatever their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, past deeds and even religious beliefs.

The answer to this partly depends upon one’s ideas about morality. If one thinks certain people are born depraved, and does not think choice is the most important variable, then it does not matter whether their depraved behavior is a question of choice or not. I’m not firmly into either extreme. Certain people are bad enough that I don’t really care to what extent they can or cannot control themselves, the interests of society come first. But I’m willing to accept that there should be limits on how far society is willing to go to purge bad behavior.
In the case of homosexuality, I am not going to advocate killing or imprisoning homosexuals. But I think homophobia is justified and healthy. Today homosexual males in particular engage in unhealthy behavior, which suggests viewing them as depraved has merit. Also, currently homosexuals have become an effective interest group, which suggests persecuting them will be necessary if society is to be saved from its own degeneracy.
But there doesn’t need to be zero homosexuals reproducing for it to be an evolutionary dead in the long-term. That some people reproduce is not very important. The average is what’s important. Unless you are going to argue homosexuals are just as likely to reproduce as heterosexuals(or reproduce at very close levels), then there is every reason to suspect homosexuality is an evolutionary dead end(and thus unlikely to be caused by genetics, in most cases).
In case it needs to be said, I think it highly unlikely(crazy really) that being uninterested in the opposite sex has no or a negligible impact on reproductive fitness. Remember, in most(all?) human societies, there is competition for mates. Also, there is great variability in number of surviving children. Given this, people with behaviors that are more likely to lead to reproduction and survival of the children are more likely to pass on their genes.
It’s interesting you mention Saudi Arabia. Here is an anecdote. Next door in Oman, the now deceased sultan was widely believed to be a homosexual. How many children did he sire? Zero.

What Christianity did was introduce into the Roman and classical culture an alien way of looking at things which disapproved of all homosexual activity (as well as every other type of adulterous activity, of course) whether “top” or “bottom”. This is not the same as the modern idea of a sharp division but it was, I think, a prerequisite for the development of that idea.
Christianity is basically Jewish faith with a Zoroastrian add-on and a Neoplatonicist update. Pagan traditions had more diversity built into them. It is true that Christianity simplified the zeitgeist a lot. Hence the current trend towards the Paganism revival in otherwise secular Western societies. As Christianity exits the cultural arena, Paganism/New Age, different weird Cults fill the belief gap. But I believe in the long run it will be Islam and Buddhism which will benefit the most from the weakening of Christianity. And it will impact the sexual behavior of the future generations. Both religions are of course homophobic, with Islam being the most virulent, while Buddhadharma is somewhat more understanding of human flaws, while being still critical of homosexuality.
Celibacy is probably often a choice one makes. I think that homosexuality is largely the opposite, homosexuals usually arguing that they feel having no choice but to feel and behave the way they do.
But only in a very superficial and tangential way (I actually see some honest creative effort in defining it this way!). Neither Judaism nor Zoroastrianism nor any worthwhile “add-ons” offered the kind of depth and understanding that God intended for his creation, that effervesces from the teachings of the Church fathers, thru centuries of meditation, prayer and writing that we know of today as “theosis”:

I wouldn’t say it quite that way, I would say that “pagan traditions” have a lot more flexibility built into them in that there is not much “there” there, as the American phrase goes. “Mr. Hack” gives a good response but I wouldn’t be quite so cocky about

Some did, the majority didn’t. The Nestorian Church in China had another historic opportunity to influence the Chinese civilization under the Yuan dynasty. Many members of the Mongol aristocracy were Nestorian. Their Christian affinities manifested in offering a high level of official protection to the Russian Orthodox Church during the Golden Horde domination. And yet, the Chinese have continued to consider the Teachings of Christ as just another exotic religion. Even Manichaean faith was more successful, it was at least tangentially connected to the birth of the popular movement leading to the Ming dynasty. Finally Nestorian church in China disappeared under the Ming (as also did Manichaean faith through a dissolution in a somewhat heterodox Buddhist sect).
I think the Chinese have a psyche that is not conducive to Monotheistic religions. Maybe that is why Buddhism is the only foreign religion that has deeply impacted the Chinese culture. I believe Chinese Buddhism is currently on the rise again, which is fine. Chinese Buddhadharma (in its different forms) is a very respectable belief system.
I think that Christ was trying to get his followers to think about their commitment to their faith. Don’t we already, unfortunately see, if not so much pure apostasy, then wishy washy behavior of so called “Christians” that don’t seem to walk the straight line with the Lord? Christ also said:

I am too lazy to look for the exact quotations from the Ayats of the Surats of the Noble Scripture (aka Al Qur’an al Karim), but basically the Tribe of Lot (Kawm el Lot) are described as accursed and vile, and their name is used to describe all the male homosexuals (Lowateen).
Also, the Scripture informs the faithful (mu’minun) that both “masculine females ” and “feminine males” must be ostracized from the community of the faithful (Oummatu’l mu’uminin). This ostracism is to be enforced through violence if needed and killing homosexuals is permitted (qutluhum yadjuz) although probably not a legal obligation, while it is the killing of apostates from Islam.
However, homosexuality entered Islamic societies through Persian influences (Persians having been themselves initiated by the Greek under the Hellenistic Central Asian dynasties) and it penetrated Islamic culture through the backdoor of poetry, Sufi mendicant orders and other artistic developments. The Turks, strongly influenced by the Persian Sufi and artistic tradition, also helped spread pederastic inclinations outside Central Asia and around the Ottoman Empire.
Helping this spread in homosexuality in Islamic lands is the very strict segregation of the sexes in traditional Islam, where boys and girls are supposed to wait until marriage before any intercourse or even the most benign forms of flirting. As a consequence, both male and female homosexual behavior are coping mechanisms for the absence of the natural partners of the opposite sex. It’s basically very similar to the homosexual behavior of the incarcerated males, who often substitute gay sexual behavior for the heterosexual one because their urges are simply not finding a more natural venue.
Of course during Islamic expansion, any worthy Muslim could simply go on raiding into Dar El Harb and copulate with as many captive infidel females as his libido, good fortune and courage allowed him. But these days are long gone, except for some ISIS zealots a few years ago…

At the same time the Faith seems to be gaining strength underground in China (I’ve been hearing more of this in the past few years) it is losing people in the West.
I think that I personally would prefer to live in a society mostly hypocritically Christian rather than a society sincerely anti-Christian, but I’m not sure I get that choice.
All nationalisms are a tool of globohomo. We’d all be better off in a world without nationalism, ruled from Moscow. Putin can be President of all the Russias that covers the entire globe.

You can’t control what you can’t see or don’t understand.
The allowances made in places like Russia are like honeypots that attract flies. They allow the LGBT community enough sweet freedom to keep them complacent and trapped in a few hotspots, but they are not allowed to spread their influence by pushing their narrative onto the general public. That way, they will not secretly spread their influence under the radar.
