Greg Johnson has been arrested in Norway, and is to be deported as a dangerous alien who threatens Norway’s fundamental national interest (this is the law they used).
Invited to address a lawful right-wing political conference, the Scandza Forum; a police raid occurred just before Dr. Johnson was going to deliver his keynote speech at midday Nov. 2; police hauled him away; held in Norwegian jail for 48 hours; to be deported to Hungary in about 9 hours as of this writing.
He is a US citizen. Hungary might be compelled to deny him entry. His associate John Morgan is resident in Hungary.
(While it is the right of any country to deny entry or deport any foreigner for any reason at any time, this case is interesting politically: e.g., as well know, if Russia deported a left-wing US speaker, it would be CNN-MSNBC fodder for days re how bad Russia is.)

For Russian cities, the Ministry of Construction has created an index rating cities by “quality of urban environment.” – which they synthetized by a lot of different factors (proportion of people in emergency housing, transport accidents, number and quality of green spaces and more).

In a non-precise way, this index seems to matching stereotypical expectations of desirability levels of the largest cities (just as some of the criteria like proportion of population in emergency housing is just measuring economic distress), just surprising how Volgograd and Omsk are so back from the medium group.
I cut Spencer a lot of slack because he seemed to be intelligent and insightful.
But later he made noise about bring back the great imperial game… as if the world is a STAR WARS universe.
Near the end of this video, we hear Spencer getting real mad. Given what happened at Charlottesville, I can understand the rage, invective, and even racial epithets.
But his sentiments are pure poison. It is white supremacism that is hardly different from KKK and Neo-Nazi garbage. His goal is not white liberation from Globo-Homo-Shlomo supremacism but to be uber-lord stomping his foot over others. What petulant sense of entitlement. He should have been spanked more as a kid. He acts like a brat who wants to hog all the toys. He’s like Dark Helmut.

As a commenter suggested to you in a previous Sailer post, there’s a possibility that Johnson was turned over to Norwegian authorities by members of the European far-right. There has been some animosity brewing among some in the European right over Johnson’s homosexual activity in Europe, particularly with younger men.

Spencer has always struck me as controlled opposition. He has never had any real base. It’s interesting to note that he always somehow survived the purges. He gets to not only keep his Twitter account but even gets verified. He gets invited to the MSM to pontificate from time to time. He is the Hillary Clinton of the Alt Right. Popularised and favoured by ZOG, but has little support on the ground.
His comments against Nick Fuentes is also reeking of bitterness. What is clear is that the Alt Right, or whatever you want to call it, is not dependent upon a small set of people. It isn’t Spencer’s pet project and it never was. He was just there to benefit from a growing trend which happened with or without him. And he confused this as a general trust in him, but he was never relevant to the broader movement. This is fundamentally good. There is a growing need for this kind of politics and if one set of people cannot deliver, then they will be overrun by others. As should be.
I wouldn’t even call Fuentes Alt Right. He is like the Alt Lite, but with the exception that he and his group are much less friendly to globohomo and Israel, and this scares TPTB. If people like him gained the upper hand, we’d see symbiosis, not conflict, with the more radical elements of the Alt Right like TRS.
Anglin, as another puppet, will of course try to sabotage everything as he usually does by promoting infighting and drama. But he is also rapidly losing relevance.
Roosh is also a non-white sex tourist who is scared of the Alt Right ever gaining power, because it means his access to white people – and white women – is in danger. He prefers a nonsectarian movement which is only strong on issues like LGBT or feminism, but where non-whites like him can still enjoy the fruits of white civilisation. That’s why he is shilling for Christianity these days, it fulfills this niche.
Furthermore, Jorjani was never a ‘major figure’, even before he left. Greg’s homosexuality was well-known already back then and has been for ages. I’ve already described Spencer’s lack of base.
I remember when this “scandal” was heavily promoted by ZOG media like NYT as a big exposé. Yet it already told us everything we had already known about everyone involved. The leaked “tapes” just showed them saying the same things they’ve been saying on podcasts for years. It was nothing new to any of us. The only thing it did was to show liberals, SJWs and netflix cat ladies & wine aunts who their next approved enemy was. That’s why the whole stunt fell flat.

The book would have been much better had it been written as a case for the Palestinian right of return and tearing down Israel’s border wall with Egypt. The stakes would be a little clearer.

Johnson’s homosexuality was long rumored and hinted at, but not really known about except among some close intimates. Most followers of the alt-right did not really know about it.
I agree that the “scandal” was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it did contribute to deflating the energy and momentum of alt-right 1.0, as we might call it, in the wake of Trump’s victory.
There are rumors that there are more younger European men that Johnson has been with and explicit material featuring Johnson that could come out, and that the European right wanted to nip this in the bud and deal with Johnson before these men or content could come out and embarrass or harm the European right, and thus this is why they betrayed him to the authorities.
Media tried to exploit him, casting him as a baddie. He was also the go-to-guy because he could be charming and congenial when he wants to be. In turn, he was hungry for publicity.
The media panicked when Spencer seemed to have genuine star power. He seemed intelligent and came across as articulate and good-looking. It was as if Spencer was playing the media than other way around, and many were genuinely impressed. So, whatever the media meant to do, it initially backfired because Spencer came across as capable and even charismatic. Great fortune landed on Spencer’s lap. Alt Right was suddenly a thing, the talk of the town. It even had a cool edgy brand. And Spencer could have ran with this.
But the fool made a series of dumb decisions. He encouraged his fanboys to give Hitler salute at a conference in honor of Donald Trump’s victory. The whole freaking world was watching, and his minions ruined the event(that had gone very well) with Sieg Heil theatrics. And then, the fool had long conversations with clown Andrew Anglin. And he linked up with fatso Neo-Nazi Matt Heimbach. He got increasingly drunk and erratic, losing people who joined his movement out of genuine commitment. He could not keep quality people. Then, there was Unite the Right.
I didn’t know much about the people who were slated to speak at Unite the Right, but looking back, they were a bunch of morons. Heimbach is a fat fuc* who belongs on Jerry Springer. Chris Cantwell is nuts. Others were hardly better. It’s true that the mayor and police were mainly to blame for the violence, but Spencer drove Alt Right into the ground by associating it with nutjobs and morons.
It’s like he was given the coolest train set for Christmas and wrecked it because he has no self-control and patience.
Still, it’s not true that he was spared the purge. He was banned from EVERYTHING except Twitter. His site was shut down. He couldn’t raise money. He couldn’t book venues. He’d been regularly invited by MSM to be the voice of the Alt Right in 2016, but he was hardly asked since Charlottesville.
The thing is, he could have played it smart and shaped Alt Right into something interesting, even outstanding, but his petulance, vanity, and egotism got the better of him. He’s also a philosophical nihilist, which means he has no core morality other than power-worship. If he were a 17 yr old who read Nietzsche and Ayn Rand and got over-excited, it’d be forgivable. But for a 40 yr old to yammer about how he’s master of the universe, it is downright pathetic and embarrassing.
Fuentes’ edge over Spencer is consistency and commitment. He started a show and kept at it day in and day out, gradually building up an audience. In contrast, Spencer doesn’t know the meaning of persistence and tenacity. He cooks up grandiose plans and makes big declarations, but he cannot finish anything he starts. He’s all sprint and no marathon. He started a site called Alt-Right but gave up. Then he got Radix Journal, and it faded. He said he’s gonna do regular podcasts or videos, but it was all off-and-on.
Fuentes has his own problems. He’s young & brash and tends to fly off the handle. He’s smart and well-read for a young man, but his temperament precludes depth. He has interest in politics and history but lacks genuine curiosity. He has the guts to be contrarian against the official narrative but is too quick to jump to simple-minded conclusions of his own. Still, he’s young and a work in progress. Anyway, his positive quality is he keeps at whatever he’s doing, which is so different from Spencer who comes with several big plans and fails to bring any to fruition.
He’s neither Alt Right nor Alt Lite. He’s a ‘zoomer’ revamping of Paleo-Con fundamentals. He’s closest to Pat Buchanan, a Catholicist conservative with racial consciousness.
I don’t know why anyone would take Anglin seriously. Daily Stormer is only good for laughs. It’s dumb and retarded, but its outrage humor can be funny like Adam Sandler movies or Three Stooges shorts. The thing is to just let Anglin do his thing. Just don’t invite him to serious debates. In the latest piece, DS praises Fuentes, but then I take it Fuentes has too much sense to lend it any credence. Let Anglin play jester. Don’t let him into the hall.

It’s interesting to me that within the “Alt-Right”, there can be so many reasons for people not to be united. Here’s a list off the top of my head, partly based on the comments made here thus far:
1) Opposed to homosexuality vs. homosexuality okay.
2) Opposed to women in the movement vs. women in the movement okay.
3) Opposed to non-whites in the movement vs. non-whites in the movement okay.
4) Opposed to Jews in the movement vs. Jews in the movement okay.
5) Opposed to working within the system vs. working within the system okay.
6) Opposed to a white ethnostate vs. a white ethnostate okay.
7) Opposed to “larping” as neo-Nazis vs. waving swastika banners okay.
8) Opposed to “uneducated low class” whites in the movement vs. “all whites welcome”.
9) Concerned about optics and widespread public acceptance vs. not concerned.
10) Politically right wing/conservative/capitalist/libertarian vs. national socialist vs. rejecting both the Left and Right as irrelevant.
11) Placing importance on Christianity vs. opposed to Christianity.
12) Civic nationalist vs. racial nationalist.
With so many points of potential disagreement, I don’t see any basis for unity in the “alt Right”. At best, it promotes new ideas — and many good ideas — into the national debate. A good thing to be sure. But that is all that it is capable of right now.
What do I favor? A movement that will organize to prepare for the likely disintegration of the U.S. and other multi-racial nations into ethnostates. There is no point in taking undue risks to promote what is going to happen anyway. There is no point in trying to convince the general public — it will be convinced by the increasing racial hostilities that are going to take place.
Instead, we should be preparing for the inevitable — racial separation. We should prepare for a white ethnostate free of Jews that welcomes all white people regardless of religion, politics, sexual orientation, etc. Once we have that ethnostate, we can work on those issues. Fighting over them now is both a waste of time and counter-productive.
I don’t understand why people are surprised gay, pot bellied, Hitler-lover Greg Johnson got arrested. This is not the first time a right wing racialist American has been arrested in Europe. People really have the wrong idea about the western countries. Would you fly to the Soviet Union, start giving speeches about restoring the Tsar, and expect anything but deportation? The west is an unfree regime, that, like the USSR or Red China, can not tolerate criticism. If you screw with them, they will destroy you. Look what they did to Assange. The Jews took advantage of Russia at the end of WW I when conditions in Russia were chaotic, and they took over the country. They murdered millions of Russian Christians in the name of atheistic Communism. They murdered the Tsar and his family.
Now the Russian Orthodox Christian Church has been revived in Russia. Russia is no longer communist.

It’s not impossible that later on he was pressured into becoming some kind of subversive agent, but I think incompetence and lack of judgment (also maybe bad luck in some cases) are enough to explain his behavior.

The recent study that showed that men are funnier than women is interesting. Not that anyone should be surprised – it’s long been remarked upon.
Direct sexual selection for humor seems like the obvious answer, but I wonder whether it is too obvious and there might be some other explanation. Like, humor being a survival advantage in war or other hard times. Or it being a secondary effect of a subtype of intelligence, for which men have been selected, over women.

Above is laughably false, IIRC. “Restorative justice” is about preserving the status quo and preventing violent feuds. It is about giving the family of a murder victim so many goats. Oh, I am sure it has its advantages, in tribal and clan-based societies, but no man would call it justice.
Also, temperance for women might not be a bad idea.
If I was going to speculate, it would be a lack of selection for humor in women. Certainly a lot of humor is so incisive and “hurtful” to someone, so could not exactly correlate with the feminine persona – although one would not think that should be an issue with self-deprecating humor but I haven’t seen women particularly glib with the latter either.

That said, I find myself largely in agreement with Priss Factor. Some additional points:

That’s a good list. I could add a few more most notably the division between Americans and Europeans. Too many American Alt-Righters appear to have been successfully gaslighted by those who dominate their media and schools into believing the narrative that defending Western civilisation equals Nazism or at the very least German imperialism. Pretty hard for someone in, say, Poland, to believe that.

Last week some comedian in the US had some of his banking services taken from him. Maybe there are other options in the US but in some countries a few banks completely dominate. I know of a few grocery stores in various European cities in which you need to have a debit/credit card to make purchases. The move towards more automation could be a big problem.
Then there are government services. Having a licence to drive is a privilege not a right. Some people may be too dangerous to have access to a possible weapon like a car. There are all kinds of things that can be done short of what we think of as direct repression to minimise dissent.
A movement about tribalism, not surprisingly, creates tribes within itself.
But it goes a little further than that, I would argue: the general lack of real success leads to virtue signaling for “purity”(defined differently based on faction). I’m reminded of a story on an apocalyptic UFO cult that predicted the date and time of the visitation of aliens; when the time passed and nothing happened, rather than falling apart, the remaining members of the cult increased in fidelity and fanaticism. Such efforts would doubtlessly lead to schism as well and I would say that the proximate psychological cause is that without positive emotional correlation for success, members instead turn to internal signaling for emotional positivity.
I’m divided on the civil war scenario; I think de jure the US will remain intact, but de facto if dysfunction continues, it will become a “Brazil Del Norte” where vast sections of the country are not within government control, and thus disconnected states for their own practical purposes.
Look at what happened to Shkreli for proving that the US pharma revenue system is broken. That is, of course pennies, compared to the money circulated by organized religion, or the state-run schools, or the “free” press which somehow, miraculously, overlaps with the most protected American industry, entertainment, or the agricultural and building oligarchs (largest users of illegal immigrant workforce, and never traded on stock exchanges), or the military-industrial complex.
West’s free speech is as free as the proportion of cases when Americans are actually judged by a jury. To draw a parallel, Ceausescu’s regime plastered the country with his passion for peace. “Long live the struggle for peace”. When he died, 4% of the population, some one million Romanians were in the Army. Powerful sociopaths always say one thing, but do the opposite.
It is true that Russia benefits from strong, centralized and stable leadership (let’s say for structural reasons). That does not imply that monarchy could be successful today.
If monarchy is installed into Russia in the 21st century, there will be a rebellion within about 2 weeks, and the palace with be invaded by protesters, and the king hanged with his Hermès scarf.
King’s family will post photos of themselves inside the palace, looking beautiful and glamorous, with wife and daughters dressed in Chanel, while a King is trying to pass legislation to raise the pension age.
Half of people on social media will respond with photos of their grandmother freezing in the Khrushchev in Vorkuta, and the other half will annotate every photo with price labels denominated in US dollars, and compare it to the size of the state pension (e.g. King’s socks – purchased in Harrods’ 2nd floor, $50).
In the past (and still today perhaps in Africa), an idea of all power and wealth centralized in a royal family, with the ruler selected by nepotism, induced a sense they most be favored by god (or the gods), and therefore they have a right to rule us. The more expensive golden jewelry they wear, or the larger their house, and the longer the nepotism they have done – then the more they most have some “divine right” to be our rulers.
Since those times, our mind has experienced a kind of “Copernican revolution” in this area, and we laugh at Africans, who follow the orders of a fellow in their tribe who has the biggest gold chain, the most beautiful wives, and the largest house.
Our mentality in this area has been reversed a long time ago, and the main thing that nowadays angers public is when they see Putin/Medvedev have a large house, or they follow some nepotism (e.g. Putin’s daughters have good jobs).

Perhaps, I started to name him as acceptable. The MSM is definitely working overtime in promoting him as a “moderate” a la Biden. Klobuchar is getting a little attention as an alternative to Biden as well in the “moderate” lane.
Somewhat disagree. If someone is seen as competent and nepotism can be reasonably excluded, there’s not a vast taboo against their continuing clout: the US may very end up in some sort of weird cycle of Clinton/Trump – I could envision Hillary running 2020, and then perhaps Barron Trump at some point, and such is the brand name recognition that it would be seen as acceptable; no one particularly complained about the second Bush, for example.
In Singapore, too, Lee Hsein Loong is the Prime Minister and the son of the famous Lee Kuan Yew and its been more or less accepted.

Your interpretation of Spencer is fundamentally benign and generous, bordering naïve. Mine is more cynical. I do not buy any excuse that Spencer didn’t know exactly what he was doing with “heilgate”. As strange as it may seem today, there was a lot of mainstream figures like Cernovich and even Crowder(!) who tried to cash in on the alt right label. One view within the movement was one of careful patience, to slowly assimilate them or if failing that at the very least keep a cordial distance.
Instead, Spencer, making sure that all the cameras could see him, decided to give all the invitied MSM ZOG outlets (again, why were they there?) exactly what they wanted. Sorry, I don’t believe in coincidences. People who do shit like that aren’t fooling around. They know what they are doing: self-sabotaged demolition from the inside.
Spencer’s entire career arc shows exactly why nobody trusts him. The “mistakes” just keep piling up. The only people trying to cut him slack are either incredibly naïve (like you) or cynical operatives themselves trying to prop him up for their own ulterior motives.
Yes, this is a fair characterisation. However, as some of you may recall, Sam Francis and similar racialist paleocons were purged by the neoCohenists in the 80s and early 1990s. Fuentes brings this up a lot in his talks. The destruction of the GOP from the inside cannot be understood without understanding the JQ. There is not much continuity between hunter-gatherer society and society which happens after agriculture. There is radical discontinuity and thousands of years of slavery (in which slaves can constitute of a majority of a population in some states, and often its predominant form of labour).
That said, our psychology mainly evolved in hunter-gatherer societies, of few dozen people, and there are many remains of this in terms of what kind of manipulations can successfully help control large populations who were adapted for a very different kind of life than life created by agriculture. Stalin, for example, can be portrayed as a father, or as if he is a family relation, even though reality was opposite, and he was the most dangerous kind of stranger. Here is quite a maladaptation, of the primitive man, for present conditions.

In the absence of the state Trump would need to organize his own supply of violence to protect his properties and tenants.

Russia’s population declined in 2018. The natural decline is quite significant, but was mitigated to a large extent by migration. The early data for 2019 shows the highest amount of migrants in 10 years.

Even Romania‘s average wage is now close to $1200.
If Russian economic stagnation continues, given its low productivity, then it is entirely likely that Central Asian russian speakers will form a greater and greater share of new migrants in the outer years of the 2019-2025 timeframe. Real household incomes have been declining for five years and growth doesn’t look too good. Finally, the biggest complaint Russians have with Putin isn’t “illiberalism” or other western fantasies. It is quite understandably wealth inequality, which isn’t what reactionary lolbertarians would understand much less form a coherent plan to adress.

Which is important, because the entire purpose of the statue imo is to present Augustus as a strong, youthful military leader who had ended the civil wars, saved Italy from Cleopatra’s and Antony’s foreign despotism and expanded Rome’s borders to their greatest extent. Quite a tangent, but in Arthurian legend, King Arthur was said to have a shield with Mary, the mother of Jesus on it, painted on it. In some stories, it was on the front, and in others on the back.
I always thought this was a cool part of the legend – that it was really evocative of the faith that existed in the Middle Ages. For instance, the story about how the St. Lawrences of Howth got their name, when before a battle with the vikings, their founder prayed to St. Lawrence to carry the day.
But I wonder if the shield ever appeared in any movies? I’d guess not. They were probably too busy putting in Africans and lesbo-warriors into these films, to actually have any appreciation for the source material.

Has anyone made such a claim? Moreover it is not as if NFL quarterbacks need to have the brains of physicists. There are many black football players smart enough to be quarterbacks at the top level. So it is probably one of several factors.
However, like Europeans in basketball, Africans are underrepresented at the quarterback position (and no, a single week ranking doesn’t count, just as a very cold month doesn’t disprove climate change). Pretty shocking how little Russia is able to produce scientifically despite producing nearly as many STEM grads as the US. Sure, money matters, but if you look at the Nature Index, Russia really has terrible ROI on its graduates.
I don’t know much about nature index other than this being a measure of scientific activity. I think it is a mistake to think that STEM activity can only be measured by the nature index. I have a theory that a lot of the countries playing catch up are concentrating at building things that do not fall into purely scientific indexes.
STEM is a load of hype. It is diversity sales pitch in a bubble industry – education. They use it to talk up the potential of Hispanics, blacks, Arabs, and girls. They ignore stuff like the number of males who score >700 on the math subsection of the SAT is double the number of females. They ignore average IQ differences between the races.
The reality is that the smart fraction is falling precipitously, and you can’t increase it or even halt the decline by educating black girls in science, if anything STEM is dysgenic – discouraging smarter people from breeding.
