Time to pull this sucker down.
Rich, slave-owning white men with no popular mandate who took up arms against their legitimate government deserve no sympathy, and belong to the dustbin of history.
I am talking about the Founding Fathers, of course.
That was sarcasm. Probably… I mean, this is Leftist/SJW hystrionics taken to their logical conclusion, as Trump pointed out.
“So, this week it’s Robert E. Lee,” Trump said. “I notice that Stonewall Jackson is coming down. I wonder is it George Washington next week, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?”
(Don’t worry, they’re already working down the chronological ladder of white supremacy).
Apart from some superficial differences – for instance, the Nazis there enjoy the support of Hillary McCain and the Blue Checkmarks – the atmosphere is quite evocative of one particular cargo cult of a country that the State Department helped create.
Welcome to post-Maidan Ukraine, Americans. Enjoy! 🙂

“…where does it stop?”
That’s the only question that really matters – no?
Where does it stop?
Zimbabwe and South Africa
are the logical conclusion.
This is not hyperbole.
As one can see, appeasement will not work.
Even( or especially) if we confess our sins.
It is true we were not perfect.
Nothing is.
Presentism is being vastly overdone.
Some kind of alt-Right, if only a self defensive political
identarianism, must obtain for our very survival.
Trump is imperfect, but he’s the best we got.
The White guilt and self-loathing have got to go!
First they came for the monuments…
What about the Democrat Party ?
Doesn’t its history qualify it to be torn down, too. ?
How long do you think it will take before they start start advocating for the toppling the Statue of Liberty to atone for the Original Sin of Whiteness?
Democrats had their annual Jefferson-Jackson Day dinners in commemoration of the founders of the Democratic Party. In many states these dinners are no longer named after Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, since both were slaveholders. The modern Democratic Party bears almost no resemblance to the Democratic Party of even John F. Kennedy, let alone Jefferson and Jackson.
This was a few years ago near the Russian/Ukrainian border but it might also be Charlottesville in 2018?

The real genius of the Americans is that they managed to convince everybody that the debt of slavery – incurred mostly by rich white Americans will be repaid much quicker if we all join forces and do it through the wonderful institution of multiculturalism.
Even countries like Sweden who have no legacy of slavery or colonialism of their own that they should feel guilty about, were convinced to join the repayment program called multiculturalism – for the purpose of which the whole white race is made feel responsible for the sins of few rich Americans.
In the case of Sweden, their participation in the repayment program is already showing the signs that it might be so costly that it could actually completely ruin that beautiful country. Way to go US, you are the real Avant-Garde of international justice.
Dems Are The Real Racists!

OT: From the BBC:
Is the wages puzzle getting less puzzling?
Why are economists “struggling” to grasp the notion that mass immigration and routine sourcing of employees from abroad means that workers’ bargaining power is undermined at much lower levels of national unemployment?
Is this really such a difficult concept to grasp in principle (I concede it might be difficult to model precisely)?
yep – the internal logic of PC always led to this
also every book written by a DWEM, all the art, all the architecture – Khmer Rouge year zero
that’s the implicit logic unconsciously driving white SJWs (at least the ones who see themselves as white)
“hey guys what are all the machetes for…guys, guys i’m an ally….aargh!!!!”
i’d say that’s the one thing that might survive until it fell down for lack of maintenance – protected by the magic poem.
One interesting question could be who is pushing diversity on whom? Poor people on the rich or vice versa? Has anybody bothered to compare the levels of diversity among the poor vs. diversity among the rich?
I bet there is a lot less diversity among the rich elites. One has to wonder why. If what they say is true – that we are all equal, the fact that there are far less racial minorities among the rich can mean that the rich people are racists. How so? Well, because if we are all equal, this should translate into equality in wealth between different racial groups among the rich elites, otherwise one has to think that there must be some racist practices which keep the racial minorities from reaching equality to which they are entitled based on their equal abilities with the rich white elites.
The definition of a racist is someone who believes that he possesses better qualities than people of other races. The definition of a rich person is someone who believes that he possesses better qualities that allowed him to accumulate wealth compared to people of other races and of his own race. That’s pretty close, isn’t it?
Wait, it’s not just the belief that he is better that made the rich person rich. He has proven that he is better by acquiring his wealth – right? While the racist hasn’t proven anything, he is just asserting that he is better, but there is no scientific proof for that.
While the scientific proof that the rich people are better are their moneys. Why can’t then the racist use the same argument – if he has more money than a person of other race – he is better than that person. Or that argument can be used only by the rich elites?
The point is the whole argument of equality is phony. When you have someone who has 80 billion dollars and on the other hand another one that sleeps on the street like dog – calling them equal is ridiculous.
yes – if you understand the economics of this – and it’s economics 101 – it’s cast-iron proof the media are lying filth (assuming you didn’t already know that already for dozens of other reasons) and these “economists” are either bought or telling lies because they’re scared if they make the economic case against mass immigration they’ll be called racist and get bricks thrown at them by antifa.
what is happening with job numbers is the deliberate over-supply of labor makes people desperate so single full-time jobs with security are being replaced with three part-time jobs with no security
and the lying filth in the media are covering it up.

the same thing happens in articles about productivity going down. it is self-evident that if you import millions of people to do work below average productivity then average productivity will go down – in the same way that if you only allowed short immigrant then average height would go down.
it’s not even economics, just arithmetic but all the economists in the media lie and say the reason average productivity is going down is some big mystery.
(also a second factor in that productivity from innovation isn’t going up partly because unlimited cheap labor makes innovation less necessary)
we live in kafka-world
In case there aren’t enough statues of Stalin to satisfy your yearnings around Moscow Anatoly, they’ve managed to erect a couple of plaques to honor him in the new ‘NovoRussia’ in Crimea. As one Russian patriot is quoted as saying:
How about you Anatoly? Why begrudge the Ukrainians for dismantling so many monuments that pay tribute to the murder of millions of Soviet citizens??…
http://www.deccanchronicle.com/150508/world-europe/article/stalin-monument-unveiled-russia-despite-criticism
What’s happening in the US now has nothing to do with Ukraine and everything to do with South Africa if you want a parallel. The Lenin monuments should never have been preserved. Lenin had nothing to do with Ukraine.
The Founding Fathers, on the other hand, have everything to do with America. Therefore the more apt comparison is South Africa. Karlin, your warped obsession and hatred with Ukraine is clouding your mind. You’re becoming a pathetic writer because of it. Stay on topic.
Yeah, I find it hilarious for Karlin to shill for communist tyrants. Every single one of these deranged and crazed attempts makes him look utterly pathetic.
home team bias is normal and up to a point good as it ensures multiple view points on the same topic –
as long as people are aware they can adjust.
on the Ukraine situation itself – personally in theory i’m on the side of Ukraine independence as they’ve had a pretty terrible last 100 years but what they’ve got currently is rule by a pack of gangster-oligarchs propped up by state dept. neocons – so for me no easy answer.
Reminds me of the time when people tore down the statue of Saddam in Baghdad and people over here cheered. Ah spreading liberal democracy…what goes around, comes around, eh?
Perhaps these folks will eventually regret their actions as this man does:

We live in interesting times.
Peace.
Unemployed alcoholics looking forward to coming home either in a box or crippled. Sad, as the families of the mamed will not receive compensation from Moscow. Remember, Russia is not involved in the Donbas war! 🙂
What you have in US is racial communism, without economic communism. How do you call a person fighting against economic communism? – A free market oriented individual. How do you call a person fighting against racial communism? – You call him a racist. Which communism is easier to defeat? You’ve all been played for the fools that you are. Enjoy your version of communism.
That’s exactly what I was going to post, but you beat me to it.
I thought the Bolshies pretty much korenizatsiya’d the Ukraine into existence.
It doesn’t especially concern me, since Lenin more than anyone else to create Ukraine. As I have made clear on separate occasions. It does however illuminate the village cargo cult essence of svidomism. (Though I suppose this, too, might be useful).
Anyhow, it would be one thing if the demontages were linked to Lenin, whose statues were produced industrially and have little artistic value. But they’re not. It includes unique statues, statues of Soviet generals who liberated Ukraine from the Nazis (its fate would have been quite sad it were not), and even statues of Imperial Russian figures, e.g. that of Konstantin Romanov in Odessa, who have absolutely nothing to do with the USSR by definition.
There are the actions of a deranged mob of Year Zero ideologues.
Ukraine is the mutant child of Poland, Lenin, and the Austro-Hungarian General Staff, so as one of its “founding fathers,” Lenin does have a great deal to do with Ukraine.
Considering my clearly and repeatedly expressed positions on the Bolsheviks across this blog and social media over the years, you are clearly either ignorant or a troll.
Yeah, you’re describing Ukraine’s soldiers, chum. A bunch of defeated drunks in shit-stained camo fatigues who drop straight into organised crime as soon as they leave the army(Наші герої!), when they aren’t going loup garou and murdering their families before committing suicide (don’t get me wrong, it’s good that they self-delete).
@notanon
The Ukrainian people are trash. They don’t deserve independence, they don’t need independence and they don’t even want independence, not they would know what it meant anyway (something to do with kitschy peasant shirts and idiotic haircuts?). The best blood in the country will continue to flow elsewhere while Mr Hack here witlessly flails at his keyboard in whatever Arizona methpit has the misfortune of hosting him.
Trying to negate or even belittle the history of the Ukrainian nation in the 21st century is beyond the pale of sanity, Anatoly. You do believe that the world is not flat? To put it succinctly, to try to relegate the history of Ukraine to some nefarious plot put into motion by Poles, Austrians and Hungarian generals is at the very least intellectually dishonest, and at most an exercise in irredentism gone terribly and comically awry (are you serious?). But then again, you’d have to admit that you’re nothing more than a supreme dilittente when it comes to knowing anything at all about Ukrainian history, never having read even one single book devoted to the subject matter. At least according to your own very detailed log of books that you’ve read: https://akarlin.com/reviews/:-)
So, what we have in effect, is somebody that knows very little about Ukrainian history spewing out nonsensical sovok type tropes, fed to him by??…
Give me a break, Anatoly – you can do better!
I don’t find this to be humor.
After the monuments, they’ll come for the descendants.
I wish Ukrainians and Americans discovered each other much earlier, because it’s obvious that the affection that these 2 nations feel for each other is deep and genuine. I wish they discovered each other, say circa 1941 – right around the time when the Ukrainians were welcoming the Germans with flowers.
And what a wasted gesture that turned out to be. If the Ukrainians knew back then how much the Americans cared for them, they could have sent those flowers to them.
But then again, I doubt it that all the flowers in the world would have made any difference in persuading the Americans to do anything for their brothers in Ukraine.
There’s a statue of Woodrow Wilson in Cluj, Transylvania. Can we stir up some hate against that?
In so many ways.
That, or 1984-world: “War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.”
Lenin had everything to do with Ukraine. After all it was bolsheviks who created this polity (Ukrainian SSR) in the first place. There was never such a country until the commies decided that it should be.
First, I think it’s daft to use the words “Ukrainian” and “nation” in the same sentence. I can count at least three different “nations” in the Ukraine all waiting to break out.
Second, what sort of “Ukrainian history” are you talking about? Let’s not forget that prior to 1991 the Ukraine existed only as a geographical expression. To be sure the place seen some history, but it was not a “Ukrainian history” strictly speaking. The history was being made by Russians, Poles, Germans and other people that owned parts of Ukraine at different times. Even now, the country (or should I say ‘territory’) is nothing more than an object of contention between great powers.
You’re the one whose memory is dull and short witted. There are many examples of nations whose greedy neighbors tried to thwart their state building processes – Ukraine is no exception. I’m presenting for your preview photos (reading books is beyond my expectation for your type), that show that in 1919 the Ukrainian people were ready to create a separate state of their own. Representatives of the Western Ukrainian Republic and the UNR met in Kyiv to loudly proclaim their solidarity in the ‘Act of Unification’. What’s really interesting is that the photos show the genuine and MASSIVE outpouring of common everyday Ukrainians that supported these historic events, not unlike the Maydan protests in Kyiv three years ago. The date 1919 is significant too, for it was clearly before Lenin and his Bolsheviks got involved in invading Ukraine – which puts to shame Karlin’s choice of Lenin as the mastermind behind creating the supposed phantom Ukrainian nation. Remember, a picture is worth 1,000 words (no photo shop either!) Look and weep, Comrade!

Where’s Karlin, catching up on his reading about Ukrainian history? 🙂
All American presidents before Bill Clinton must be unpersoned. All have made some statement or action which could be interpreted by some people as racist.
The African analogies are sound and instructive.
That’s across the board. Leftists will tear down every president before Clinton.
If a Dem wins the White House in 2020, all the whining about statues, street names, etc., will magically cease. The supposed hurts will suddenly stop hurting at the flip of a switch.
Wilson has a lot of blackmail baggage that could slow down his exit. Too many interested parties. Perhaps as an accommodation, the masses will be encouraged to settle for taking his name off the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs (the Woody Woo or just plain Woo School, also known for its architecture as God’s Bike Rack) at Princeton.
It may be a stretch to get Parisians to rename Avenue du Président Wilson, for example, but who knows just how far the jurisdiction of our combattants may reach!
