I am too tired right now to compile all this into something more elegant than a point-by-point rant, so here goes: Some preliminary thoughts on the latest terrorist attacks that have claimed 128+ lives in Paris.
(1) The usual cucks have wasted no time in making political hay of this tragedy

So don’t be shamed by traditional social conventions about avoiding making political points out of respect for the dead. Like it or not but the information age and the 24 hour news cycle have made this genteel habit obsolete and indeed, maladaptive.

Note that this in spite of the SJWs having attacked Wikileaks for politicizing these terrorist attacks but not the the likes of establishment journalists like Ezra Klein. When Hollande declares that this is a “war,” bear in mind that he might just as easily be talking about, say, French nationalists. Indeed, given the trends towards defining Islamic terrorism as “anti-Islamic activity,” terrorist attacks like these could for the elites be a convenient way of getting rid of two birds with one stone i.e. the Islamist problem that they themselves created, plus the Front National and other pro-French and pro-European forces.

At the extreme end of the spectrum of the possible fallout from all this we could see a resuscitation of the Western plans for a no fly zone over Syria which were in place before Russia intervened (Translation: Bombing the legitimate Syrian government, helping exterminate civilized Alawites, Islamic State apemen spreading their reach to the Mediterranean Sea).

Some will say that the murderous acts were committed by only a small percentage of an otherwise well-behaved Islamic population within France (or Europe) and so, imply that there is little to be done since these are black swan events.
Others will counter that though this may be true, nevertheless the perpetrators acted within the protective veil of that broader community, drew inspiration and material sustenance from it, found ideological justification within it and returned to it for solace and approval and that therefore, Islam is in some sense responsible for these acts of murderous rage.
Which view is correct? Let’s answer that question with a question.
How will Islamic leaders within Paris specifically (and France and Europe more generally) respond? Will they take a principled stand and speak out against the traitors within their own community? Will they back up their words with action by insisting that Muslims within Paris prove their patriotism by doing everything possible to search out the perpetrators and the terror cells that gave them logistic and ideological support and provide police with information that leads to the criminal’s arrest and prosecution? Will they chide their own people into betraying the fringe elements that were responsible and threaten them with the Islamic equivalent of Hellfire and Damnation if they don’t?
In short, let them prove where their values really lie. Are they loyal French patriots or Muslims first, last and always? Do they embrace fundamental European concepts of Law or their tribal Islamic identity? This is not a question that can or should be resolved by debate between two westerners who disagree about the essential nature of Islam or its practitioners; rather it is a question that is to be resolved existentially, i.e. by the actual behavior of the Leaders of the European Muslim community.
Irresponsible journalism at the Center for American Progress. A day before the organization feted Benjamin Netanyahu to try to show the Democratic Party’s support for Israel, its website ThinkProgress ran an article titled, “How The American Religious Right Is Making The Middle East Peace Process Impossible.” The piece argues that rightwing Christian organizations are responsible for the settlements in the West Bank; it shows that some Christian groups support the settlements and all the Republican presidential candidates do too. Sheldon Adelson is only mentioned in passing by reporter Jack Jenkins, though that’s the big prize for the Republican candidates.
This is happy horseshit and pure political mystification. The Democratic Party is as mixed up with the settlements as anyone else. The Obama administration vetoed a UN Security resolution against the settlements in 2011. It quashed an effort at the Democratic convention in 2012 to highlight the occupation of East Jerusalem. It has done nothing to punish Israel for greatly expanding the settlements over the last eight years. Remember that Bill Clinton ran to George Bush’s right on settlements in 1992 and won the presidency. Some say that Bush’s opposition to the settlements and the Israel lobby cost him his job.
If the settlements really were a Republican cause, as Think Progress maintains, then it would play out like the abortion issue or the gay rights issue: the Dems could righteously take the leftwing side and rally their base without fear of reprisal– and the middle ground would go along with the Dems because it’s the reasonable position. Same sex marriage and abortion rights are the law of the land. But the Dems don’t take that side, and the policy serves Israeli expansion, because the Dems fear the repercussions inside the Jewish wing of the Democratic Party. Barney Frank saw the settlements firsthand a few years ago and deplored them and was challenged to come out against them, and he refused, his guide Jeff Halper says. Unless you can bring me 5000 Jews in my district who oppose the settlements, it would be political suicide, Frank said then. And that’s the bottom line: the Jewish establishment has refused to condemn the settlements, and the settlements have wide support inside the Jewish community. There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between Sheldon Adelson and Haim Saban; they agree on virtually every issue involving Israel support, and one bankrolls the Republican candidates and the other bankrolls Dems. Saban works with groups that work in the settlements. And Dems will do nothing to alienate Saban and his like. Why isn’t Jack Jenkins investigating Saban’s connections to settlements? (BTW, Barney Frank’s sister Ann Lewis helped censor other writers at CAP who were critical of Israel.)
This is intellectually irresponsible on the part of CAP, because if you are going to take on the settlement project you have to take on the Israel lobby, whose influence transcends party, as CAP demonstrated for all the world when it sucked up to a rightwing fascistic slaughterous prime minister on Tuesday. The head of CAP gave only lip service to the settlement question in her conversation with Netanyahu, and the first questioner from the audience put forward a neoconservative plan to annex the settlements to Israel that was promptly endorsed by a leading Democratic Jewish publication. There was not a word about settlements in Hillary Clinton’s vow in that same liberal Jewish publication to mend fences with Israel and Netanyahu– and a disavowal of the idea that East Jerusalem is occupied.
If the Center for American Progress really cares about Middle East peace, then it should educate people about the hateful occupation (which no Palestinian likes, any more than black people liked Jim Crow and slavery, those great precedents) and the Democratic Party’s role in it, and the Jewish establishment’s support for the settlement project. The Center for American Progress reporter Jack Jenkins studied divinity; he knows that his true obligation is to focus on the beam in the Democrats’ eye before he anatomizes the mote in the Republicans’.

Winner Europeans and Loser Europeans seem to have their own reasons for being pro-diversity.
Loser-Europeans want easy moral credit by identifying with the Wretched of the Earth against Winner Europeans. This is especially true of Italians, Greeks, Spanish, and Irish(whose nationalism became defined by resistance the greatest winner Europeans of them all, the Brits).
It’s like all those Spaghetti Westerns where Mexicans are often associated with Italians(especially Southern Italians) while gringos are equated with Germans.

And new Germany defeated France easily under Bismarck. And France just eked out victory in WWI thanks to help of Russia, UK, and US. And it got clobbered in WWII. It was saved by US and then lost its empire and then got overshadowed by US and even UK. Today, it is just a vassal of Jewish-American Global Order.
Arrogance of superiority and resentment of inferiority define France, and so France has both loser-European mentality and winner-European mentality when it comes to the issue of diversity.
French promotes diversity to say to nations like Germany, ‘we are less racist and more diverse than you.’ But it is also an act of atonement for past ‘racism-imperialism’. But it is also an act of neo-arrogance, a means to make France a mini-version of the empire that the French once had. Since French can no longer rule the world, they have decided to turn France into a mini-model of the world.
But that is not how a nation works. Empires are inherently unstable, so a nation that has been empirized will be unstable. And we are seeing it.
Are those not sufficient reasons? How about because they are WEAK coward cuckolds who have sat back and watched while the nation and the West are overrun by third world primitive invaders? Have they defended anyone, including their own families, from the feral negroes and mestizos? Stopped the queers and feminists from rotting the culture? It’s been said that the reason why the West made greater progress than the Muslim World is because the West went through the Renaissance whereas the Muslim World didn’t. It’s been said that Islamic culture held back freedom of thought and discourse.
But here’s one big problem. The Byzantine Civilization. The Greek-led Byzantine civilization was Christian. Also, unlike Western Europe that lost the culture of antiquity due to Germanic Barbarian Invasions, Byzantine civilization survived and preserved its memory of the classical past.
Then, why did the Byzantines fail to make the kind of progress that Western Europe did? Why did Western Europe that came under barbarian rule eventually grow richer and stronger whereas the Byzantines, which preserved the classical heritage, grow weaker and weaker, eventually being invaded by Venetians and then by the Ottomans?
One great result of the Germanic barbarian invasions was that it stopped the Roman agenda of diversity-propagating all over Europe. The classical dream of the original EU as spearheaded by the Ancient Romans was to racially muddy all of Europe. Romans brought slaves and merchants and workers from all over the world—Africa and Near East—and sought to spread them all over Europe. Romans conquered much of Northern Europe and built roads that would have connected Cairo and Damascus to Paris and London(whatever they may have been called back then). Had the Roman Empire not been brought down, European race might have been muddied into something like North Africans long long ago.
But the white Germanic Barbarians destroyed the imperialistic Romans, and thus they racially saved Europe.
And that kept Western Europe white. Of course, there were incursions into Southern Italy and Spain/Portugal by the Moors and other swarthy folks later on. And Russians fell under Mongol yoke and Greeks came under Ottoman Rule.
But the heart of Western Europe remained white.
Another great thing for the white race was the arrival of Muhammad and the spread of Islam. As a result, Christianity came under the challenge of non-white Muslims. Mongol Tatars turned Islamic. And all of Near East and North African came under Muslim rule.
If all such non-white peoples had been converted to Christianity(and had Islam never appeared on the scene), it’s possible that the Catholic Church back then(as it tries to do today) might have sought to create a world empire defined by faith than by race.
If indeed faith in Jesus should be the prime allegiance for a people, then white Europeans should feel as brothers with yellow Christians, brown Christians, and black Christians. But thankfully, Muhammad came along and created a new faith that won the hearts and minds of non-whites all over.
So, Christianity became the defacto the white religion and Islam became defacto the swarthy/black religion. Of course, there were white Muslims and non-white Christians, but Europe became predominantly Christian whereas the Near East, Central Asia(ruled by Mongols and Turkmens), and North Africa became predominantly Muslim. The Islamization of the world outside Europe made white Europeans more race-conscious as Christianity became synonymous with defending(and later spreading) white civilization. But this would not have been the case if there had been no Islam and if all of North Africa and Near East had become Christian. It’s possible that the Catholic Church might have sided with non-white Catholics against European Protestants. After all, there were times when Europeans even allied with Muslims against fellow Christians. This would have been even more likely if the Middle East and North Africa had turned Christian.
Perhaps, one of the problems of the Byzantines was racial. Since they ruled over much of the Near East, they often rubbed shoulders with less intelligent non-whites. So, there may have been less intellectual firepower regardless of whether the people there were Christian or Muslim. After all, even secular Arab nations haven’t been able to achieve much in the 20th century. Arab IQ is simply lower, and the Byzantine empire ruled over too many not-too-bright people. So, the problem could have been racial than cultural/religious. In contrast, Western Europe had more high-IQ people. This isn’t to discount the power of culture which is important, but we shouldn’t discount the power of race and biology.
Another reason why the Byzantines might have faltered and declined is because their civilizational continuity led to loss of vigor, to boredom and apathy. Paradoxically, it may have grown weaker in the long run(when compared to Western Europe that fell to Germanic barbarians) because it remained intact as a civilization.
Sometimes, a thing has to be rediscovered to spark curiosity and imagination. The Renaissance had a powerful impact on the West cuz the old was made ‘new’ again. It was reinvigorated as something to fire up the imagination again.
It’s a tragedy to lose one’s heritage and past, but there is also the mythic excitement of rediscovering it again through chance and imagination. The Renaissance wasn’t just an imitation of the rediscovered past but an inspired act of using its fragments—as too much of it had been lost forever—to envision something even greater and grander and richer.
So, the lesson for the Alt Right shouldn’t just be heritage and tradition. It needs to be the power to re-imagine the past and its lessons in a spirit of renewed vigor. It’s like sticking with the GOP is like trying to keep the Byzantine civilization going. It has lost its vigor. It’s about the likes of George Will and Bill O’Reilly arguing over Reagan’s mental health. It’s like Soviets in the 80s still trying to keep up the holy myth of Lenin that had turned into a mummy.
It would be stupid and crazy for a people to reject their own heritage. But mere clinging to heritage leads to dissipation, boredom, and enervation. The past must be retold and re-imagined and reinvigorated to inspire new visions of the future.

Merkel has de facto invited millions to Germany, there is no control who’s coming, “refugees” are moving around freely in Germany, unregistered, and there isn’t any serious attempt at background checks (apparently right now, anybody can claim to be Syrian, and judgment whether they are or are not, is left to some interpreters who aren’t even real employees of the migration agency, let alone have taken an oath). “Generations” ago perhaps. Israel needed land once, it doesn’t now it has the West Bank. Iran is the main target of Israel because Iran is backing the Palestinians like Iraq was. Israel needs to solve the the West bank Palestinian problem. They are not giving up and drifting away as Israeli strategists hoped. Israel does not need any more west banks, so the idea that it wants to take territory is outdated. The border walls are a sign of wanting to keep what they have walled in, but some West Bank areas are outside the wall. As far as I can see there isn’t any appetite for further territorial expansion in Israel.

Your statement would be stronger if Israel has set its borders. There are no permanent Israeli borders (like there is no Israeli Constitution). The uncertainty works to “madden the waters,” figuratively speaking, for “fishing expeditions.” The desirability of balkanization of the Middle East has been stated by prominent Israeli politicians and historians for too many times to simply dispose with the statement. It is quite possible that the Israel’s involvement in the destabilization of ME would be the greatest stain on the history of Jewish people – as well as the ground for undoing the modern state of Israel. The morality-laced rationale for supporting Israel has deteriorated to the point that the support is gradually becoming immoral. Rather a sad story…

I assume “misnthrope” was a typo for misanthrope (anthro for “man”, like anthropology (study of man) or anthropoid ape (manlike ape).
Anyway, I think Jeffers was more skeptical about the works of man than with man. His dark view encompassed far more than man, but he saw “dark beauty” in nature in spite of the violence and death there. He saw man as having cut himself off from nature as was the hawk in “Hurt Hawks” you referenced (see “The Purse Seine”).
Jeffers was a bit of a “one-eyed son of a bitch” (in cummings term) in that he did not appreciate the beauty in life very much, but he did not see the dark side of life any darker than did the prophets or great writers like e. e. cummings or William Faulkner. What distinguished him was his inability to find much of redemptive value in the joys of life just as cummings ability to do so has endeared him to so many.
I think people make the mistake of thinking he did not see clearly with that skeptical eye because he could not see much at all with the eye that should see the beauty in life.
To paraphrase the “John Denver & The Muppets” album, he could not open both his eyes.

Oh, I don’t doubt that Israel would pursue maximal objectives if they could and the Diaspora were all crowded into a tiny Jewish state, but this time the Arabs would not leave, and would have to be killed. No more than the US could win the Vietnam war by exterminating the majority of the Vietnamese could Israel clear the population off any further conquered territory, which they do hot have the Jewish settlers to occupy anyway. The wall shows the Israelis are set on keeping what is inside it forever, but it serves the purpose of keeping the Israelis within. Iran is not part of Torah Israel and Iran is the main current target of Israel, because support for the West Bank Palestinians is the gravest threat. Even expulsion of the West Bank Palestinians would be something Israel would not dare do unless the region, including Jordan, was in chaos. Jordan is the key.

This experience might explain the lack of the political involvement of the middle eastern in European politics leaving the space to the fanatics to vent the grievances in most violent hateful murderous way. Middle eastern are demonized because of their culinary sartorial or religious expression or practices. This undermines the confidence of the middle easternerand prevents them to get politically engaged .
